EFCC Press Release: JTF Hands over 18 Oil Thieves to EFCC

The Joint Task Force, JTF of 4th Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Benin has handed over 18 suspected oil thieves to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The suspects were arrested at different locations in series of operations between October 2012 and January 2013. The command alleged that the suspects were arrested with different trucks, tankers, buses, cars, drums, jerry cans and pumping machines with which they transfer products and substance suspected to be adulterated kerosene and illegally refined automotive gas oil, AGO.
The suspects include Shedrack Ofosa, Mudia Owin, Ovie Joseph, Nnamdi Albert, John Abuja, Lucky Egbegbe, Andrew Anthony, James Aker, Kadiri Aloysius, Paul Ojo, Oduwere Edobor, Esene Osaghale, Abubakar Isah and Steven Omoghwigho. Others are Lucky Francis, Lucky Imuetinyan, Henry Ikweke, and Victor Ohweokeovwo; while Lucky Okorie, Dodo Mohammed, Bose Osaji were arrested in Warri and Benin by the EFCC operatives in connection with the alleged offences.
The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

The JTF stated categorically that contrary to the perception and false alarm raised by the team which culminated in the unconfirmed reports on the pages of national dailies, the soldiers were officially detailed to protect an NNPC Pipe line that was vandalized in the mentioned area by their Commanding Officer following a tip-off at about 2.20 am on Wednesday 6 February, 2013 JTF commander has ordered a full inquiry determine if the soldiers attempted to compromise in any way.
What about the "JTF oil Theives"?

But when it concerns Niger deltans, the armed forces are quick to bring them b4 the eyes of the public-that is efcc and the secuirty agents for u! We saw it in Sylva-Alams and Ibori-which other governor has been prosecuted in Nigeria beyond the ones from the SS-may be cause of Jonathan-Okah and Osare dokubo went to jail-Not a single killer in Boko haram has been publicly tried or arrested! This nobodies will be tried and sentenced within the month to minimum of 5 years each with hard labour. EFCC will say how well they are doing.

If these people were member of Islamic Boko Haram would the govt be parading them like this? Would the govt even arrest them? These people are by the ocean side but washing their hands with spit. They have abundant crude oil in their father's back yards but are trying to scoop spilled oil to survive. Foreigners, thieves and Hausa Fulanis should leave the oil for the owners.
