if u are not fool, u must
if u are not fool, u must have been an illiterate, blatant ignorant, your statement clearly proved sadism. what is your contribution to the nation at all, people like u are capable of destroying this nation
you are a blind thinker, if
you are a blind thinker, if atleast you are truly nigerian. you are so myopic and self centred person that ignite sentiment and call for disunity. what goodluck has done that disappoint southerners? i can see people like you are ungratful, inappreciable and blinfolded. if u can not contribute the development of nigeria u better keep quite.
you are right
You have the most perfect capture of Justice Dahiru Mustapher. he is more corrupt than you have stated. he lacks credibility, and i symphatise with the judiciary, because the serious members of the sector interpretedted the appointment as the remarklble dearth of the sector.
RE: Patience is needed a noble
Keep quite you IDIOT who is the man to fix the ills of Nigerias trobled Judiciary? Dahiru Musdapher? This is the most irresponsible statement i heard in recent times. Every sensible Nigerian knows that Mustapher is the most decorated currupt Judge in this country. I hope the pains and agony he put Nigerians into with his lies & decision to vote in favour of PDP in 2007 election petition, will continue to hunt him for the of his misereble life. I also pray to God to makes him rot in Hell. I also pray that all the bribe that these useless Judges are collecting will be the tools that God will use to curse them and thier families ONE BILLION TIMES.
Nigeria is in a different planet
You don't read the release wrong. Nigeria is in a different planet. There's nothing impossible in Nigeria. The country is in a complete mess. Because of the highly corrupted judiciary,
the killing of Bola Ige,late AG of the federation has still not been solved.
MUSDAPHER THE FACE OF CORRUPTION.
Garbage out, garbage in! Speaker North, Senate President North, Judiciary North, Nigeria effectively pocketed!

What will interest me is knowing which of these members (of the NJC) decided to suspend Justice Salami even though he has a court case against the same council. Any takers?

Studying Recent Supreme Court Decisions. (1)
@OC, you picked up from where you left. I also thank M.A. Mukoro esq., for the insight. I have started a critical study of recent supreme court decisions myself, to see if there is a pattern. Ofcourse, the CJN does not make the decisions as there are other Justices of the Court.
But further to CJ Musdapher's appointment, I perused the members of the following two bodies critical to the administration of the Judicial System in Nigeria:
Hon. Justice A.I Katsina - Alu, GCON
Chief Justice of Nigeria & Chairman of the Commission. (You can replace him With Chief Justice Musdapher)
Chairman
2. Hon. Justice Isa Ayo Salami, CON
President of Court of Appeal
Member (You can replace him with Justice Dalhatu Adamu).
3. Hon. Justice Daniel Dantsoho Abutu (You can replace him with Justice Ibrahim Auta)
Chief Judge Federal High Court
Member
4. Hon. Mohammed Bello Adoke, SAN
Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of
Justice
Member
@Martins Mukoro - Thanks for the Explanation and Insight!
In other words, those recent illogical and ridiculous Judgments by the Supreme Court are products of INEXPERIENCED Judges from the North, without much experience. I'm talking about the Judgement that confirmed the current Rivers State Governor as Governor, even though he did not contest any election as Governor. Or, the one that confirmed that a President may belong to a different party from his deputy, in a Party democracy, where the different parties have different ideology, programs and manifestos. That was an invitation to chaos. Where, for instance, the President says I want it done this way, and according to my Party's program, and the vice-President goes, No way, it should be done this other way, in accordance with my party's manifesto! I seeeeeeeeeeeee!
As for Justice Musdapher's appointment, as long as he is the most SENIOR Justice then his appointment is in order. It is not within the Powers of the President to appoint or choose the CJN. This ignorance must stop!
How about exercising his powers to tackle insecurity
Wake up Jona (occupant of Aso Rock Villa) and exercise the powers conferred on you by the same law to tackle insecurity and corruption.
Yes o. I feel you. He is yet
Yes o. I feel you. He is yet to exercise the powers conferred on him by law to tackle insecurity and corruption.
This man Jonathan is nothing
This man Jonathan is nothing but a a complete dumb. you will be very lucky if you last your four year in the office. You are becoming a very big disappointment to Southerners and Nigerians in general.
Every day I see less and less likelihood of any good thing coming out of your government. Your decisions are nothing but absolute rusbish and questionable.
God save Nigeria from this second Yaradua.
REUBEN ABATI
The moment I saw it I had this bad feeling in my gut that the clown who has sold his soul for a bowl of sand was up to no good .PHD MY FOOT
Badluck jonathan will destroy nigeria completely.
This shameless president just doesn't know when to stop till he bring down this country.
Multiple CJNs from the North
Want to know why, it is a matter of seniority, Very few southern judges are promoted to the Court of Appeal in their prime, if they are able to make it to the Supreme Court, they get there only to retire. Conversely, the North nominates young judges to the Court of Appeal who get to the Supreme Court and stay long enough to earn seniority which determines who become CJN. It is a strategic investment in young judges; if the southerners want to make a difference, they should start putting up their young competent judges and refrain from elevating those due for retirement to the appellate courts.

Jonathan Appoints
President Jonathan appointed justice Haliru musdapha into honourale justice Isa Ayo Salami post to rig the current on-going trial of 2011-presidential poll-petition filed by CPC Gen Buhari. To bribe justice Haliru Musdapha with millions of dollars just like outgoing CJN Katsina Alu collection of S30 million dollars in 2007 that led to revalidated late Yar'dua & Jonathan presidential poll revadilated, despite Yar'dua acceptance of the poll been rigged.
But mark it,honourable justice Ayo isa Salami would win his post back through the court of law.And there would be re-run of 2011-presidential poll especially,in 19 states in the North in line with PDP-Jonathan wrong accusation against CPC-Gen Buhari massive win in the nineteen Northern states. Dr Pat Kolawole Awosan,Canada.
ROTATION
From Bello to Uwais to Belgore to Kutigi to Katsina-Alu and now Musdapher. I can't seem to figure out how the North maintains this stifling dominance. Do the federal character and rotation principles not apply here?
He has done no wrong!
Though I lost faith in Abati a long time ago, but in this instance he is only carrying out his duties. The Judiciary is being killed by the Presidency, PDP, Katsina-Alu and the NJC. Remember he does not make the decisions in any form.
It is easy being a critic like we all know.
TO YOU KATSINA-ALU
For you Katsina-Alu,I have these words for you as you retire. If all your actions during your tenure as CJN are borne out of sincerity and patrotism, it shall be well with you and your family. But if not but just to satisfy ur corruption innate attitude & distort true justice, U will never ever retire in peace but rot in hell and not only you but also every one that subscribes and embraces you and your corruptible life and actions. For every distortion u caused to d cause of justice, ur life will be distored double.

Shamkpan! No Basket For Rotten Mangoes
if Jonathan is not writing birthday congratulation to criminal politicians, he is there appointing criminals and dirty people to office.
Only if PhD could make people to be decent: most of Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein's innner circle men were PhD holders. Shame!

Again Goodluck fails the test
The president was just handed an opportunity to show leadership. It is no news to anyone that the cash and carry Nigerian judiciary needed to be scrubbed with a drum full of potent detergent. What does Mr. Jonathan do? He settles for the status quo. This is the judiciary that has not discharged any corruption case, collected billions from election riggers, misappropriated the billions budgeted for the judiciary. The bench is meant to be the hope for the hopeless, the blind umpire. The justices gave the president perfect gift with their shameful and corrupt practices. The president just threw away the perfect gift to begin to change Nigerians perception of him.
What a shame!
Goodluck is not the answer. He has been given enough time to change the direction of the country. He does not appear to know where the compass is. I truely hope he was a better professor at the University of Portharcourt than he is being a president for Nigeria.
