Obanikoro: PDP Youth Circuit Denounce ACN

Babajide Obanikoro
By Sola Oyekanmi

We, the PDP Youth Circuit, youth wing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wish to express with disdain our observation of events as it concerns the mandate of Hon. Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro. We wholeheartedly condemn the desperate antics of the ACN led government of Lagos state.

The world is aware of how members of the electorate in Ikoyi-Obalende Development Area were deprived of their right to choose when on the 22nd of October 2011, the mandate they gave Babajide Obanikoro was stolen by the ACN government of Lagos state. The PDP joined Hon. Obanikoro in crying out over the apparent injustice. Our position was vindicated when his mandate was returned by the election tribunal on the 4th of October, 2012.

Expectedly, a desperate ACN and its candidate in the election appealed the judgment and then the drama started. The appeal hearing which was earlier adjourned till the 15th of November, 2012 has surprisingly been adjourned indefinitely. Of course, this the ACN made possible by orchestrating frivolous petitions against the eminent judges who were on the election petition tribunal. The floating petitions alleged bribery and corruption.

We therefore find it shocking that a political party that has benefited so much from the fairness and uprightness of the judiciary has resorted to petty blackmail having lost a local government council election.

The ACN, through court judgments by federal judges now rule in Ekiti, Edo and Osun states despite the fact that they are an opposition party. The immaturity and pettiness of the Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Action Congress of Nigeria is unacceptable. In strong terms, we denounce and condemn it.

Every attempt by the ACN to delay and deny justice in this matter is not only callous but undemocratic and reminiscent of stone age politics. We understand the plot is to stall the appeal until the PDP candidate can enjoy the spoils of office for a full term. We condemn this wicked frustration of the will of the people and express our solidarity for Hon. Babajide Obanikoro, the Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area.

We will explore all democratic avenues of combating the menace of the ACN on this matter. We however wish to sound a note of warning that this is just the first in a series of elections that the ACN will be losing in Lagos state. The PDP and her youth wing PDPYC is prepared to play the politics of issues without bitterness.

We hereby call on the judiciary to stand by what is right and ensure that justice is done. We also call on the law enforcement agencies, the State Security Service and the Nigeria Police Force to ensure the safety and security of Hon. Babajide Obanikoro, members of his family and his supporters. He has informed us of the various threats to his life via telephone and unmarked car tailgating. We do not trust the ACN based on the various steps they have taken so far. They have acted with sheer desperation and unbridled lust for power.

We are watching.

Signed

what do u expect

What do u expect from a man who can withdraw a very vibrant senator from office and replace him with his wife?I've always said it,I will rather stick with a pdp trying to reform and do the right thing to an acn that is wanting to come in with vague criticism when the little they have now, they aren't showing any good example with it.

LASIEC Conducted the Worst Election

LASIEC Conducted the Worst Election in the History of Nigeria. Election was held in Ikoyi/Obalende LCDA,ballot papers were counted in polling units,we the electorates knew who the winner was but LASIEC refused to collate results and went ahead to declare ACN winner without
mentioning figures. Abah! Demonstration of craze!!!

Read Our Lips: No PDP in Southwest !

Who is this fool looking for some cheap publicity. We don't need PDP in the South. You only have to look as states under PDP rule compare to the ones under other parties.

PDP is a tragedy for Nigeria. How many capital project have you seen since PDP in power all these years? Look at the roads, our classrooms , energy, and other critical parts of our lives. Saddest one is the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

So what exactly is your case as a "youth" for PDP?

Its a well known fact that

Its a well known fact that ACN operates like motor park-tout. They were all over the country and abroad calling on governments around the globe to help re-call Salami who dashed them Osun and Ekiti state respectively. But the moment a case turns against them in court, u see SNG, Occupy 9ja, Odumakin and Bakare pretend to be residing somewere near Koma Hills-where the people use talking drums to communicate with the electorates, the judiciary and the world at large. The only time they claim to read the national dailies is when they yearn to supply arms to boko haram from the Islamic republic of the south west. Or the arrivel of Dame Jonathan from Germany! This is just a small example of what will happen to 9jas, regardless of zone, should tinubu and buhari be allowed to control the centre in abuja

Obanikoro must be sworn in!!!!!!

If Babajide Obanikoro won the election or the Election Tribunal declared him the winner, therefore, he must be sworn in without any further delay. I understand that the Administrator of Lagos State is a Barrister at Law and if that is the case, Mr. Raji Fashola should know better not to tamper with the will of the people. Though, personally I do not like anything about PDP, because they are criminal minded people while ACN leadership are full of deceit, lies, and propaganda. Still the winner must be sworn in.

Shame on ACN!! Shame on Fashola!!! Shame on Tinubu!!!

It is very unfortunate that while the federal govt has abandoned the UGLY past of DO-OR-DIE and amala politics, the Tinubu's ACN, the so called 'progressive' is still NECK-DEEP in it. The PDP has so far lost several governorship post, both thru the tribunal and FREE and FAIR elections. Heavens did not fall. But our ALL RIGHTEOUS Tinubu ACN cannot stomach the lose of one local govt seat. This development is very SHAMEFUL, DISGRACEFUL, WICKED and DEVILISH. This is just a tip of the iceberg of the mindset of the so called 'progressives'

POLITICAL RUBBISH!

What can one find in PDP that cannot be found in other political parties. When some politicians are praising a political party one might think all is well in that party. Even though PDP is loved because it is a quasi-military and evil-chop-I-chop party.
