2.what kind of training does a police man get, what qualifies him for promotion, why did he become a police officer
3. the biggest part the connection between the judiciary and the police that looks severed should be amended
4. what are the incentives for being a police man if these basic issues are addressed and some other issues then u could overhaul the Nigerian police unless this things are done God help the "Nigerian People"

Did anyone notice that Mexico disbanded its Police Force a few weeks back? It was apparent that it had become difficult to distinguish between the Mexican drug lords and the Mexican police. Many attempts had been made to reform the police, but the Police had become so endemically corrupt and unprofessional that, though it took a long time in coming and a lot of courage on the part of the Mexican govt, it was clear that the Mexican police was beyond redemption and what was needed was a brand new police force built on different rules, recruitment criteria, modus operandi, orientation, and philosophy. It is still too soon to tell how well the new force would do, but I 've no doubt in my mind that it was the right thing to do and I've long recommended it to the Nig Govt.

Now, it is M.D Abubakar - who was indicted by a fact-finding panel in the Jos religious crisis and subsequently recommended for dismissal from the police force. Can people really be encouraged to do good in their official capacities and also can our people be deterred from doing evil under this circumstances? Now the same indicted religious bigot has taken charge of the security of both Muslims and Christians in the face of the Boko Haram challanges. Nigerians should watch it oooo!

I am not in any doubt about the competent of MD Abubakar and what he can do now that he has full power as AIG, his record is in public domain with great recommendations to him as Asst.Insp Gen and I encourage him to do much than expectation while I wish Nigerian well to enjoy the dividend of his (MD) appointment. But my doubt has always been the COMPETENT of GEJ. How can one explain a competent man with a right senses to approve this appointment and raise such committee. Anyway, this is the best he can do. How can you explain a president during subsidy strike can not come out to speak and answer questions in the public. Oh! example, D.
