NPPID for all
NPPiD, I understand from their website is not a government in exile nor a shallow parliament but a platform for Nigerians who are interested in discussing about their country. Any Nigerian or friend of Nigeria could partake in the discussion and make suggestion. I will rather advise that these people be given a chance and support in any way possible.
GOVERNMENT IN EXILE ( DIASPORA ) IS THIS LEGAL ?
Does anybody think we will ever learn ? How can a legitimate Government be formed, called it whatever name, when the legal government is still in place ? Nigeria has Consulate General and Mission in New York, An Embassy in Washington DC and I have never heard of this Kangaroo establishment that is so much of Nigerian character. There are milliards of citizens from nearly all countries of the world living in the US but I do not know of any other who form a meeky mouse Government with its constitution.... This is
chaos.. this is anarchy
GET YOUR SECURITY OR?
Oke Ndibe hope you are away that you have got predators trying to prey over you. the 9ja kind of predators only bite you and leave the venom in your blood to run you down as time bomb does...I pray you be so alert because they will surely come preying on you even wherever you are, especially in public setting as the meeting we host...freedom must be to the people..this is one singular facts postulated by God and humans in devil's cloak cannever stop it happening.watch yours sides!they are building agents now everywhere and trying to pimp internet bloggers to kill...We the biafrans we be free anyday...it is written.
I knew it.
I knew it.
With every issue Nigerians discuss we inevitably gravitate and end up with either the issue of money and what is in it for 'me' or what tribe or that tribe is affected or not involved.
I was wondering how long it would take for one of us to point out the question of the tribal composition of the executives of this body and why we have only seen Ndibe, Akande, George represented but no - Tukur, Umar, Atiku, Muhammad or Dikko!
Even amongst the elite, you can see the clear division. There has to be a further review Nationally, as to why we all need to be under one roof and how we can work our way towards a clearer future relationship between the different groupings that is respectful and mutually beneficial for all the Nations of Nigeria. We have played the ostrich game for some time. It is probably time to bring out all the issues we have swept under the carpet these years, thrash them out and create a blueprint for a National modus operandi of our different groups.
NPPID may want to add it to their agenda sometime.
@okonkwo kenneddy
okonkwo kenneddy am very proud of you, you are too much.
Dont blame pere every ijaw man like him will feel the way he is feeling because they have fish brain. They are so daft that they don't know the value of crude oil, they just realised the meaning yesterday.Pere just escaped from rehabilitation centre at Obudu, where they surrender their freedom for amnesty package, the fairly used boy is living by the grace of Alaibe's monthly allawee.
@OPC will you close that your dirty mouth, cowards like you always make mouth just a push they fall like pack of card, thats typical of yorubaman. It is because you are mentally dense that you can't fathom why our illustrious sons are meeting in US. you are intellectually disable to understand what they are trying to achieve. You expect these bright minds to carry block and stick to Abuja, to pull down the losers. it did not surprise me a bit because thats the language of areas boys and motor park tout like you. But when the opportunity came in 1994 to throw stone at Abacha your people went into hiding. yoruba people and mouth, they are gutless cowards
Kaparak and Biafrans
It is interesting reading your comments.I will not condescend to your level because you are probably some stupid motor park tout hussling for your next passenger somewhere in Ojuelegba. If you are so cross about people using their hard earned titles as Drs, Profs etc, may I suggest that you go obtain yours. It is not easy to obtain a PHD degreee in any discipline or any degree at all. Of course your mental and intellectual challenges could not allow you to complete your secondary school or even if you did I will not be surprised if you are one of those that bought your degree from a University in Nigeria.Stop being so jealous. Our degrees and qualifications were obtained in American and British Universities. We worked very hard for it.We did not buy or bribe anyone for it.
Your master Obasanjo did what he considered his best for his country. He is no saint and has many pitfalls. Your simplistic mind can not appreciate the finer things in life and politics as such i do not expect you to understand this fact. On your biafran rant, please be reminded that the economic achievements of your master Obasanjo was achieved almost exclusively by Biafrans like Okonjo-Iweala, Soludo, Akunyili and others. The Biafrans delivered the miracle that refloated the Nigerian economy from its ruins. What has happened since that great team left? Nigeria fought to keep Biafra as part of Nigeria because the Biafrans are just simply too great and important to be allowed to seceed. Nigeria will collapse completely and descend into anarchy if the Biafrans are allowed to seceed, please ask your master Obasanjo and he will confirm this fact.Of course you need not be reminded that Nigeria is in a state of anarchy today becaue its natural born rulers(Biafrans) have been marginalised and have had no input in Nigeria's affairs. You will probably end up with a BIAFRAN President if Jona wins the presidential election next year, then what will you do Mr Kaparak?I will repeat my challenge again to you Mr Kaparak aka Ojuelegba tout, set up your revolutionary council to liberate your country from the tyranny of corruption as you suggested in your write up.Dont be a stupid arm chair critic wallowing in self pity and hatred for the Biafrans.
NPPID MEETING
THE NPPID sessions are in the 'groundworks' with the likelihood of transforming into something akin to Dalai Lama's. But the Nigerian situation should never have degenerated into forming another separate parliament outside the norm. In retropsect every Nigerian adult is guilty of the present downward slide. Unjust critique of ideas like the Session is rubbish-a waste of time! Those who regard themselves as idealistic should bring out theirs into the open. The most promising or popular idea should capture the hearts of every Nigerians. And those that cannot lead nor follow always end up in dumpster.
Freedom of Speech & Association Deserves Freedom of Comments
@Pastor Trueworld, for you to tell another commentator to shut up and put up with your rambling ranting is not "pastorally." In fact, you just confirmed my earlier comment that this Kindergarten playpen is full of egoistic jingoist calling themselves play-play doctor this, PhD that, Professor this, Engineer that, and now Pastor shut up. Oh, my! No Nigerian wants to be a mere Mister, he is gotta be, at least, an Esquire. What's with that?
At least El Mango tried, to pigeonhole most of the commentators, in my case, Kaparak has an axe to grind - which is true. My freaking axe is to grind against that BIAFRAN NGA called Ndibe and I made no bone about it. Wherever BIAFRAN NGA Ndibe posts his uncorroborated BIAFRAN NGA axe to grind against Mr. Obasanjo, there shall I be to call him to carpet unless he can prove his innuendoes with justifiable facts, or he better shut his frigging BIAFRAN NGA mouth b4 somebody shut it up for him.
Enough of this rumor-mongering simply because the greatest leader we ever had accepted the surrender of BIAFRAN NGAs some 50 years ago and some little prick is still wallowing in self pity, filling our eardrums with his temper tantrum that he wants his lollipop back. No wonder we are not making any progress - back to square one of talk-talk, no action, no movement – for how long must we be stuck in the same rut? Now, git "PASTOR SHUTUP."
Ride on, Jude Morah.
@ pere....your anger against
@ pere....your anger against the ibo stems from your inability to decode the puzzle that shields our successes in almost all our endeavours.you are not isolated in your misery and dilemma pere, most losers like you having tried everything and failed find common ground and unity in your anger against our proud people.we have been termed ritualists, murderers, kidnappers and armed robbers.bring on more names pere.the only thing you have not called us is what we truly are, committed traders....i would feel angry in your shoes too my dear pere...a situation where one tribe seems to be controlling the whole show is a natural invitation to jealousy extended to small minds like yours....since your delusions are your source of oxygen, i will do well not to touch them or i will be tampering with your poverty stricken life.when our resilient boys are travelling the nook and cranny of nigeria and africa, moving goods from state to state, from country to country, enduring sleepless nights, you remain in the comfort of your warm beds fixated just on the prospect of your elusive oil wealth.....the same oil wealth you handed to your northern masters in 1967. pere if you want to eck out a living, learn how to work hard, wake up to the reality that money is never made through rituals but harwork and good management...it works that way.we have proved that it works pere.our aggressive investment goals have ensured that nigerian cities are developed...is it not instructive that indigenes of the five states of the south east own 78percent of the entire abuja?...that the same wise men of the east control over 40percent of all investments in every state capital...pere shine your eyes and dont allow anyone decieve you with this ritual crap. work hard and dont loose hope ,it can work. good day. i remain your friend kennedy okonkwo.
Mr Pere
Mr Pere, from your write up i can only surmise that you live in Nigeria. If indeed you reside in Nigeria then the question is as follows: "considering that you live within the depths of poverty, deprivation and disease, what have you done to alleviate your suffering from the misrule of your leaders? If you have done nothing as i believe you have not, then shut up and stop criticising those who are doing what they believe is their very best to highlight the suffering and misrule of your so called leaders.I demanded to know your tribe because of your vituperation and genocidal hatred for the Iboes.I am not a racist in any way.Your write up and accusation of racism is indeed typical of a retarded, mentally challenged and half educated Nigerian Illiterate who desperately wants his voice heard.Enough of your stupid views.
Pere
Pastor Trueword please dont bother responding to Pere because he is a mental retard.A product of the Nigerian system, mentally and intellectually bankrupt.
I find some of these criticisms petty and misplaced.
@Pastor Trueword "Prof Ndibe is contributing his quota in his own perceived way towards solving the problems in Nigeria"
Quite right.
Like you, I do not see what is wrong with Nigerians coming together, forming a forum where sensible and positive discussions about Nigeria and its failings can take place. This is why I totally agree with @Tola Williams comment.
I am not a member of this group and I do accept that Constructive criticism has a place in any society. From the tone of some of the bloggers, I suspect there are other subterranean issues that has engendered these rather harsh and brutish comments especially by @KaparaK!
@ pere and @OPC, What other ways do you suggest?
In starting a revolution(mind you this is a broad term)you do not just wake up one day, take up the gun and start shooting. I can assure you that for every revolution, a lot of talks take place way before the true revolutionary action starts!
@Amadi Uche, If they have no flag of Nigeria they should buy or make one. Maybe it is an oversight. There is no reason why they cannot fly both Nigerian and American flags. Good point.
@ Bigger, 'Who elected them and on what basis are they meeting'
I presume no one.
I recall this group was formed at the peak of the almost Constitutional crisis when YarAdua went AWOL. As to how they were appointed, you can find out if you call them. I would imagine that as in any society, club/group, officers are elected in one of their first meetings by votes or acclamation.
I find some of these criticism either frivolous, misplaced or perhaps based out of petty jealousy.
We should focus on the issue that Nigeria has failed. How can we fix it? Everyone has their own idea as to how this can be done. We should not forget that there is a right of choice of ways and means!
@Pastor Trueword , which
@Pastor Trueword , which quota is he contributing? And by the way, why do you want to know which tribe I belong if you are not a racist? Ndibe has nothing to offer, he is an apologist of corrupt people. We know those who were exiled but returned to Nigeria to continue the struggle. Not an inferior igbo professor who is ashamed to fly Nigeria flag but that of US at his back and claiming he is contributing his quota to Nigeria, what quota? Idiots!
@ Kaparak
Some good jabs there. Nice try!
Every little counts
At this stage in Nigeria's history and after 50 years of wasted opportunities, the country needs each and everyone of us for direction. Rather than criticise, give a word of encouragement to those willing to try. You never know where and in what form the much anticipated divine intervention will come from. Volunteer at www.omf.cc
Mr Pere
Mr Pere your stupidity defies belief.I really dont know whether you are yoruba, hausa, fulani or whatever but your ignorance is indeed mind boggling.Prof Ndibe is contributing his quota in his own perceived way towards solving the problems in Nigeria.A stupid racist retard like you who has nothing and will never have any thing positive to contribute to the developement of Nigeria is busy making racist, unintelligent and intellectually retarded remarks.Nigeria is in a pretty bad shape because mentally retarded idiots and bigots like you will never allow any thing good in Nigeria. I will suggest you direct your efforts towards founding your own group and positively contributing to Nigeria's development.Members of Prof Ndibe's panel are from all parts of Nigeria for your information you stupid fool.
Anything you can to help is welcome

This is Igbo gathering, not
This is Igbo gathering, not for Nigerians. These barbarians are only making noise and looking for cheap relevance, like Ndibe like ndigbo!
Mr Kaparaka, if you have
Mr Kaparaka, if you have nothing constructive to write why dont you just spare us your arrant stupidity and shut up.You are just a typical lily livered Nigerian, unable to come out with any concrete idea but comfortable to sit in the sidelines and criticise. You have advocated a revolution as the way forward. Why dont you come out and form your group for the purposes of actualising your dream of sweeping away the current bunch of parasites called Nigerian leaders. If you can not organise one as I believe you cant, then for ever hold your peace and stop attacking people's intergrity just because they happen to criticise Obasanjo for his perceived misdeeds. We live in a democracy( I dont know about you)but one of the fundamental elements of democracy is freedom of speech.I await an invitation to join your revolutionary group
What is the usefulness of
What is the usefulness of this kangaroo parliament in the US? How is it going to effect immediate changes back home in Nigeria? I think these guys have no serious work to do. You guys should come home and lets work together with those on the ground to pull down the current looters in Abuja and all state and local government headquarters.
Who Elected this lot
I thought these guys called themselves shadow parliament now they have changed their name.
Who elected them and on what basis are they me
meeting.
Thses guys are making a complete mockery of Nigeria and its people - what are the effect(s) of their discussions and what will come out of their meeting(s)?
This is a complete waste of time and energy...
Missing Nigerian Flag On The NPPID Session.
If they are Nigerians and gathering to discuss Nigerian issues then why are they always using only American flag in their gatherings.Educated but unpatrotic fools that are seeking for relevance. Why can't they be proud to hang our flag.
Why can they come back home and contest elections or atleast organize demonstrations in protest of any goevernment policy that they are in disagreement with instead of this lazy and unproductive gatherings in far away U.S.What do they hope to achieve with such unimportant meetings?I think it's time they returned home bcos it is obvious that they've got no jobs in U.S. due this economic problem, they should return home b4 their idleness drive them into worse things.
Another talk shop-just waste of time
I beg make we hear better word! the issue inn Nigeria at 50 is about Bako Haram. What stops u guy for calling for SNC. Hope yr talks will not go on for another 50yrs.Soon they will all fly to Minna.
NIGERIANS IN UK
Can well meaning and patriotic Nigerians living in the UK email me at ucneks@hotmail.com so we can start a consultative meeting and plan our strategies for liberating Nigeria from from the evil cabal called Nigerian leaders.NIGERIA NEEDS US NOW NOT TOMORROW.This is most urgent.
GROWN MEN IN PLAYPEN EATING MUDPIES
Must be Nigerian election time to paaarrrtttyyy!!! Nigeria's favorite sport is a 4-year ritual where all the Egunguns come out to spook their gullible mugus with uncorroborated tall-tales of the dead that do not stand up to normal societal standard of credibility.
Since when has this kindergarten of pretend doctors and nurses, play-play lawyers and PhDs become "Nigeria's People in Diaspora...?” I thought it was a “shadow” or is it “shallow” where egoistic jingoist assigned roles to themselves - the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker, rah, rah. They even bandied Ribadu as a member to court credibility – alas, the gangster-buster staged a no-show.
This is another jaw-jaw that goes nowhere like PRONACO led by the headmasters - Soyinka and Enahoro talked themselves to sleep for 30 years with nothing to show while the Nigerian gangsters from Shagari, to Bangida to Abacha dribbled around their weakling feet.
Short of a violent revolution by ordinary Nigerians, this fraudulent talking heads desperate for photo-ops are already destined for failures as well since Ndibe & Co’s yellow journalism couldn’t distinguish a visionary leader from outright thugs thereby miss informing their gullible readers to shout rankadede (I mean "all-hail, master" with a bow to worhip at their feet).
In the country of the blind, the one-eyed is the King. Before you know it, the NPPID would soon become the King's Court with Lords, Knights, Dukes, and, Earls… Makes me laugh.
