African Basketball Champions Cup : Nigerian Kano Pillars Crashes Out Of Tournament

On the final day of group matches, Nigeria’s sole representative at this year’s basketball African Champions Cup taking place in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea failed to qualify for the final stages of the competition.

Playing against Tunisian side ESS, Pillars needed a win to have further chance of qualifying for the Quarter finals of the competition.

In a frantic start to the game, Pillars at one time went down by 14 points, they fought back and put up a resilience to close the gap to 1 point but with less that five minutes left in the game,  the Tunisian side, ESS took control of the game,to qualify for the final rounds.

Kano Pillars finished in 4th place with 6 points from 5 matches after registering 1 win in 5.
