Brazil 2014: FIFA Orders All Group F Teams To Play Same Day

By SR Sports

World football-governing body, FIFA has ruled that all matches in the Super Eagles’ 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying Group "F" must be played on June 5 and June 12.

Concerned that Flames of Malawi, also with five points like the Super Eagles of Nigeria, would have undue advantage should they play three days after Nigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation wrote to FIFA last week to consider the options of all teams playing on the same day or on weekends as originally scheduled.

FIFA has now confirmed that while Nigeria take on Kenya at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani on Wednesday, June 5, the Malawis would also be playing against Namibia’s Brave Warriors in Blantyre.

Also, while the Eagles take the field against the Brave Warriors in Windhoek on Wednesday, June 12, Malawi would also be hosting Kenya’s Harambee Stars in Blantyre.

FIFA 2014 Qualifiers

At least FIFA here has shown that she could be depended on for equity and fairness regardless of which country is un-duly disadvantaged by her fixtures as well as any other issues as they may arise....kudos to least now Nigeria can face up to the task ahead without fear of bias.

Good move by NFF. Infact,

Good move by NFF. Infact, this is the best action they have ever taken since their inauguration.
