cOrrupTion in nigeria

That is veRy bad 6or nigeria government,

50 People to 1 Fish, Jonathan spends 1 Billion a year on feeding

Stomach are different sha! and sue Captain Caleb(Police Affairs Minister) would be spending up to 100 million.

What A Shame!

This is disgusting to say the least! How will this set of recruits leave the college and ever be ashamed of collecting bribes when they have been trained to be shameless through poor nutrition.

But in it all Nigerians I hail thee, they are dehumized yet they do their duties if they want to.

How can anybody want to be a police officer to go through this kind of situation little wonder some emerged as "arear police" without the smallest understanding of the law they are to unphold.

Now I understand why I must answer YES Sir! and willing offer them their bride without request because if they are this battered psychologically what good can come out of their "Nazareth"?

May God help us in The Country Called "Niger Area"

Good 'Police' a Paramount Organization for Every Society!

Police an important organization world-over!
Every country gets the output of an input they give to such institutions:

It's a usual joke that it's better to run to an armed-robber than police in Nigeria???
But this can be changed if the respective authorities begin to treat Police like human beings rather than animals/zombies which they turn into today.
To be a Policeman or woman in Nigeria you must be ready to:
1) Bribe your way in..
2) Bribe to pass-out..
3) Buy your uniforms..
4) Bribe to get a 'good' posting..
What of criteria for selection???
Let those who want to serve be given the opportunity rather than 'politicizing' recruitments only to use them to serve the politicians and rich people as common guards!!!

Tufiakwa Nigeria.

Tufiakwa Nigeria. I can't believe what I am seeing? haha..50 people to 1 fish..OMG..Police officers. I am speechless..... I have to change my citizenship ASAP.

University Students Are Not Issued Guns After Their Training

@jebbo buba University students are not issued firearms and let loose on the population after their training. So, please stop comparing apples and oranges. People ike always want to generalize everything, and end with no solution. Stay on point for once!

50: 1 FISH!!!!!!

Why wonder the reason our Police do not have regards for the rights of the citizens. At the Police College, they are completely dehumanised, made to sleep on bunk beds without mattresses, defecate in buckets, so at the end of that we expect them to behave like ordinary, rational beings???? My suggestions are: 1) get the last 5 I Gs arrested to give an account of how the funds were managed. 2)all past commissioners of police who headed these Colleges must also be arrested. 3) the last 5 Ministers for Police Affairs must join to tell the tax payers how the Police got into this mess. Until we start making people accountable, this rot will just get worse.

Honestly no body will come

Honestly no body will come out from that place and become a better cops its not possible because i have been wondering why do all policemen i see on the road or at there station behave alike. we need to have pity on these people its not there fault blame it on the hierarchy of the police, How can somebody be getting 50Naira for a meal? 50 persons sharing one fish. This guys are humans like us how do you expect them to act in public after graduating from that hell.

50-police-recruits sharing one fish

it is sad to say our press is "LAZY",how can u still be talking about the police college like its the only institution in disrepair? The student that PAYS sch.fees in our universities are not faring any better.cadets get feed by the tax payers money,so why should the fact that they are sharing a fish be news worthy?on a lighter note its even a big fish sef!!!

OMG!

OMG! this is absolutely absurd.

AS NIGERIAN AUTHORITIES"PLAY JESUS" WITH OUR YOUTH.

These abused and dehumanised youth having had the misfortune of coming from Nigeria still have the will to survive, the fact that they still want a share of the unfortunate small fish meant for 50 adults is an amazing display of human survival instincts, this level of psychological abuse cannot be witnessed in the worst prison at Somalia or Afghanistan,go and check.
In the scriptures of the Holy Bible,Jesus performed a miraculous fit by once feeding a multitude with "five loaves of bread and two fishes",could it be that the Jonathan administration has attained that level of megalomania that they now "play Jesus" with our youth.Only the Almighty knows what kind of food the Nigerian Prisons offer to inmates.I have arrived at a tragic conclusion we need a revolution and these politicians need to be taught a bitter lesson,a lesson befitting the enormity of their crimes against the Nigerian masses.

@O. Olaleye, Millions of Nigerians agree with U: Break Nigeria!!

@Olusegun Olaleye,
Many millions more Nigerians agree with your suggestion: the only solution is to break this Nigeria into pieces. The emergent nations can thereafter comfortably take care of their people much more than what exists in one big good for little or nothing country, Nigeria. However big or small the new nations may be, be they in Hausa/Fulaniland, Kanem/Bornu land, Yorubaland, Igboland, Igbiraland, Ijawland, Tivland, Edoland, etc., peoples of the new nations must by far, regain their old natural happiness, well being and peace which they had before the British joined them together under One Nigeria. This deceit of the masses by the ruling class is becoming deadlier for the masses day after day. The video of those recruits are like from a lost planet.

Shame! Lack of patriotism generates Corruption. Dissolve Nigeria

Lack of patriotism among Nigerians is what generates hyper corrupt practices. truth is that only a few Nigerians regard Nigeria as their country.
Looking at that video, Nigeria is the shame of humanity. Even Biafra soldiers looked healthier than these Nigeria's police recruits. The recruits look like they are afflicted with kwashiokor and marasmus.

We refuse to tell ourselves the truth: that the millions of Nigerians shall fare better when Nigeria is broken into smaller countries. Those who still cling to oil profits and refuse to yield to Nigeria breaking up into manageable countries are lying to their teeth.

Security training Institutions

All security training institutions should be investigated. All of them have similar practice. It is only that some are better than others. An intermitent/unscheduled visits should be paid to the institutions by the president to see things himself. With this everybody will sit up.

Decadence

This is where the corruption start. They where trained here how to brutalise their fellow human being

THIS SUMS IT ALL.

HUNGRY MEN ARE ANGRY MEN. NO WONDER THEY ARE READILY ANGRY. A DEPRIVED PEOPLE, A DEPRAVED PEOPLE. IF YOU ARE NOT CONVINCED, JUST TRY THEM AT A CHECK-POINT. THEY SADLY POLICE TO MAKE THE PEOPLE SAD! THEY LEARN SURVIVAL THE HARD WAY, THEY CANNOT GIVE WHAT THEY DO NOT HAVE. NOW WE KNOW THE SOURCE OF ACCCIDENTAL DISCHARGE : HUNGER!

THE ROTTEN SYSTEM CALLED POLICE

They are socialized with brutality, trauma, hunger, decadence etc. Little wonder they are so irate with the public. Their personality is so disjointed, and so their service. For their poverty, their IGs and Commissioners feed fat. Such endangered specie can only prey on, rather than defend the people they are called to protect. May God save Nigeria. Sure the Colleges would be given a face-lift, but would revert to status quo thereafter. It is a system deeply sick within. Only a total overhaul can cure it. It is a dangerous thing to fall into the hands of the Nigerian Police. AN ENCOUNTER OF ANY KIND WOULD PROVE IT.

They are trying to replicate

They are trying to replicate Jesus' miracle. No more no less.

Too bad

In a county of plenty where the Presidency budgeted over a billion Naija for feeding, it's a pity the rot in every segment of our lives. My heart goes to these Nigerians. Oh God that answereth by fire, where art Thou?

Nigerian police college

What country?if someone is trained in this kind of environment what do expect than corruption.

My Apology To All The Men & Women of Nigerian Police Force

I will voluntarily increase my "roger" or "toll" or "egbunje" from 20 naira to 50.

Now I get it. Sorry O olopa!

PROPAGANNDA

NICE TRY. PROPAGANDA INCORPORATE.

Feeding Fifty Recruit with a fish

This must be a scene from Jesus Christ feeding His disciples with a fish.

gej vision 2030 agenda

ITS ONE WEEK NOW SINCE PRESIDENT JONATHAN VISITED THE POLICE COLLEGE AND BY NOW IF HE IS A SERIOUS PRESIDENT CONSTRUCTION WORKS SHOULD HAVE COMMENCED AND RENOVATE EVERYTHING IN THAT COLLEGE.MAY BE UNTIL 2030. IS PART OF HIS VISION 2030.

TRAIN THEM AS FISHERMEN INSTEAD

Nigeria is broke, such that it cannot afford to handle any project; be it the filling of pot holes on our Federal roads or providing basic amenities to its citizens. The country can no longer afford a police force simple. Now revenue from oil is being shared amongst those in the corridor of power. Is this not the time for NLC to ask for the money that has accrued thus far from the removal of oil subsidy?

feeding in police college

what is amazing or funny about this ? this is and has always being the standard long ago, go to government secondary schools, command secondary schools. the system failed long ago, nigeria should be disbanded.we do not have a system.

50 Police Recruits to one piece of fish!

They look more like prisoners than police recruits. Hunger appeared indelibly etched on their shrunken features. Is it any suprise then that an average Nigerian Policeman graduates with the uncontrolled desire to combat poverty? A police man trained under conditions of deprivation becomes mentally impoverished. His poverty is both material and mental. He/She graduates with nothing but disdain for the society. His eagerness to abolish material poverty is so great that he would do practically anything to achieve his goal. Herein lies the basis of the police problem in Nigeria today. This abominable situation must change!

If the country is broken to pieces...,,

Yeye man Olusegun if the country is broken to pieces where will you go? Republic of Isaleko, Ijebu, Ibadan, Egba, Ogbomosho, Yerwa, Ondo, Ekiti or where. Hope you are one of those hopeless people in diaspora who do even visit Nigeria yet they live outside making noise.
