VIDEO: Nigerian Actors/Actresses Pay Tribute To Late "Village Headmaster" Justus Esiri
Nigerians artists today gathered to honor the late prolific actor of the "Village Headmaster" fame, Justus Esiri. Mr. Esiri died in Lagos last February as a result of complications from diabetes.
Obierika
He was a wonderful actor. One of the best. I remember BBC's ' Things Fall Apart', he portrayed Obierika beautifully. Rip sir, we'll miss you.
Justus Esiri
Just Esiri is better known for his acting and expressive skills. Indeed it is the theater that procured national fame for him. But he was a wonderful friend, remarkable for his generosity and kindness. I was often his personal and am wholly in debt to him for his unequalled kindness. He went sometimes to extremes in self sacrifice. He took on a younger friend of mine and paid for his university education. That chap today is a lawyer and a minister of God. Justus loved people and was an extremely convivial party animal. Wherever he was, the sun shone. At home he was a loving father and caring husband. The singing skills of his son Dr Sid did not come fom mars. They belong to the Esiri gene, as Justus himself was accomplished singer, and could croon the tiger to sedation. He was. Gentleman in every sense. I am glad he brought such great happiness to several people. I can only pray that he would find even greater happiness in the afterlife. Dele Olowu. Abuja
RIP ...............................Headmaster
I remembered the good old days of Kabiyesi, Amebo, Eleyinmi, Lakunle Ojo and the people of "Oja village" including the teacher that I forgot his name (I think Mr. Bassey?) . Always looking forward to every episode. May you Rest in Perfect Peace headmaster. I know we shall all leave one day, until then, life continue.
Adieu Justus Esiri...........
