77th & Exchange, Chicago, IL 60659 When: Friday, March 3, 7:00pm Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti was arguably Nigeria’s foremost pro-democracy and human rights activist. The last of the Ransome-Kuti clan, he championed the cause of human dignity and good governance. He was hounded, humiliated and jailed by successive regimes in Nigeria, but he remained undaunted, unbowed and uncompromised till his death.
Dr. Beko Ransome Kuti died on Friday February 10 2006 at the age of 66.
