Information reaching Saharareporters from Abuja, Nigeria's seat of power indicate that the Attorney General of the Nigeria, Chief Bayo Ojo has declared the removal of Ekiti State Chief judge, Justice Bamisile as illegal, and accordingly all actions undertaken by the acting chief judge, Justice Aladejana as 'unconstitutional'.
In what strikes as an ambiguous public statement, he threatened that the federal government will not tolerate a 'break down of law and order' in Ekiti State, he did not specify what will become of the newly sworn in governor in Ekiti State, Mr. Friday Aderemi. However, he boasted that the judicial officers involved in the unconstitutional matter will be punished accordingly by legal authorities.
He also maintained that the PDP will be left to punish its erring members who engaged in the unconstitutional acts in Ekiti State giving the impression that President Obasanjo was unhappy with the outcome of the Ekiti crisis because his continued insistence that the deputy governor, Mrs. olujimi be allowed to take over from Governor Fayose who fled the state yesterday morning to an unknown destination was not heeded by the 24 lawmakers.
