Governor Joshua Dariye impeached

Gov. Dariye of Plateau State of Nigeria was today impeached in Jos, the capital of Plateau State after a legislative panel  set up to try him for corruption submitted its findings to a 5-man House of Assembly group that had firmly enjoyed the support of the Federal Government.

 

The panel submitted its report at as early as 6:00 AM. The 5-man house of assembly  met under tight security and impeached the governor, the Deputy Governor, Micheal Botmang was immediately sworn in.

A reliable source told Saharareporters that Joshua Dariye already knew that he would be impeached by today since there was unprecendented influx of police into Jos last night and have fled the state.
