The People's Democratic Party (PDP) rose from a National Executive Council meeting in Abuja today declaring total war on Vice President Abubakar Atiku and the Gov. Of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu.

Atiku who is on his way to a two week vacation in Potomac, Washington DC where he maintains a palatial home, was earlier yesterday denied of the use of the presidential jet on the orders of President Obasanjo. He subsequently took a commercial airliner-British Airways- enroute Washington DC via London.

The NEC meeting attended by major party executives in the PDP resolved that serious disciplinary actions should be taken against VP Atiku and Governor Orji Kalu for accepting presidential nominations from other political parties. Both Atiku and Kalu have been nominated as the presidential flagbearers of the AC and the PPA.

Further, the PDP-NEC will approach the National Assembly to take appropriate constitutional actions against the duo. In a strange request, the PDP-NEC also called on President Olusegun Obasanjo to take "constitutional actions" against Atiku and Kalu. A move interpreted to mean that President Obasanjo will now move to secure the impeachment of Vice President Atiku or take extra-constitutional  actions against him in order to force him to resign his VP position.

Already moves are in high gear at the EFCC to arrest and immediately charge the VP to court for corruption as soons as he is forced to resign.
