The State Security Service (SSS) earlier today in Enugu invaded the venue of a press conference called to address the continued detention of Biafran activist, Ralph Uwazurike.
The conference was organized by the Igbo National Congress (INC) to address myriads of issues affecting the Igbo race, which include the continued detention of Ralph Uwazurike, the leader of MASSOB.
Eye witness account said, the security operatives invaded the hotel where the activists were addressing the media and tried to disrupt it. They threatened the journalists who took pictures of the invasion, promising to seize their cameras, but the journalists resisted the move.
The security agents later arrested and detained six leaders of INC at the Enugu offices of the SSS. . A seasoned activist, Chief Umeike and columnist Peter Claver Opara were amongst those detained as at press time.
