EFCC and Aondoakaa Tells Ikeja High Court judge to discontinue trial of Jimoh Ibrahim

Justice Oyewole of the Ikeja High Court was puzzled by a motion by the government lawyer trying the controversial businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim whose trial for forgery would have commenced today.

A government lawyer rose before the judge and announced that the Attorney General of the Federal, Michael Aondoakaa had instructed that the case be discontinued henceforth.

However, the judge insisted that the lawyers move a proper motion  in writing before the court. The case was adjourned till October 30th 2008.
 
SaharaReporters was first to report that the AGF received several hundreds of million of naira from the Ondo-born businessman to assist him in returning NICON insurance to his business concerns and ensure all criminal charges proferred against him by the EFCC are dropped.
