Welcome to your new Sahara Reporters. Same team, same qualitative, investigative, bare-knuckle, non-comprimising news reporting citizen journalism.

Because we have come so far, done so much, created so much impact and influence and generated so much goodwill, enthusiasm and ardent support, we realize that it is hard to believe that Sahara Reporters is celebrating the third anniversary of its existence this year. Unbelievable.

It's all thanks to you, our readers, writers, contributors, reporters, researchers, editors, and administrators. Most especially, we owe our existence to YOU - our readers, well-wishers and supporters. Without you, we will be just another web site.

Our token of appreciation for your continued support and supplications for the safety and welfare of our operatives is this new and improved Sahara Reporters. We have heard from you, and we have listened to you, and we have taken this opportunity to celebrate our anniversary with you by honoring and facilitating many of the requests we have received from you. Because, again, it is about YOU.

You asked for a more effective medium for submitting news and articles to Sahara Reporters - We made it happen. Every registered member of Sahara Reporters can now directly contribute contents to Sahara Reporters. Just log in and submit your masterpiece.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('content2'); });

You asked for a more enhanced feedback system - we have given it to you.

You asked for ability to rate articles and news items - now you CAN. All it takes is a log in, and you can directly rate the quality of any content.

You asked for a robust discussion forum platform - You've got it.

You wanted to be able to directly comment on news items, articles and contributions - EVERY one of our content items now comes with that ability. You can directly comment on any piece of article or news item from your browser, without the need to send it to us first.

These, and many more, as the improvements we have made to Sahara Reporters. And, yes, more are on the way as you read this.

This new platform is a work-in-progress. Will you find a bug or two? We think so. And we hope that you will use the feedback mechanism to report such bugs to us as you find them. We can only get better IF we hear from you.

Most of the functionalities on our new platform REQUIRE that you register and log in before you can use them. We apologize for this litttle inconvenience, but we trust that you will continue your unstinted support by taking the time to complete a registration. The whole process takes less than one minute, even on the slowest internet connection.

We hope that you will find this new Sahara Reporters useful and that you will derive as much joy and satisfaction using (and contributing to) it as we did putting it together.

CHANGE is GOOD. Be part of the Change. Together with you, we will change our dear country for the BETTER. We are not done. In fact, we will NEVER be done.

Thank you again for your support, and welcome to the new Sahara Reporters where we ask you to always "Report Yourself". Welcome to the new YOU.
