The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is undergoing changes at the highest levels with the replacement of the General Managing Director, Engineer Abubakar Lawal Yar’Adua with a new GMD, Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, who is a well known crony of the current minister of Petroleum resources, Alhaji Rilwan Lukman.SaharaReporters had reported that owing to disagreements over oil lifting contracts in which Engineer Yar'adua (GMD -NNPC) shortchanged "president" Umaru Yar'adua, his wife and cronies, he would be removed from office.
