January 26, 2009
Image removed.Staying true to his expressed desire to foster a closer relationship with perceived enemies and chart a radically progressive, cordial and different course in America's relationship with the rest of the world, President Barack Hussein Obama gave his first major interview as the President to an Arab news network - Al-Arabiyah.

In the extensive interview, Obama attempted to present a new posture for American foreign engagements and relationship, jetisoning the "our way or the highway", master-underling relationship in which America seeks to impose its wills on the rest of the world and dictate its desires to others. An amicable policy based on mutual respects underline much of Obama's new vision. Obama also pointed out his personal Islamic background, highlighting the fact that he has Muslim lineage and exposure.
In a direct slam on Al-Qaeda, Obama called Al-Qaeda's ideas "bankrupt", pointing out that the organization is now "nervous" because of the winds of change in Washington which has now effectively removed Al-Qaeda's number-one recruiting and propaganda tool - George "War on Terra" Bush. According to Obama: "There's no actions that they've taken that say a child in the Muslim world is getting a better education because of them, or has better health care because of them."
