Now what morals has he to criticize the government after he has received gifts from the same government he knows does not enjoy the mandate of the electorates but rather was imposed on Nigerians?...I am a die-hard reader of his articles (and I still read them) but to say the truth,Dr. Abati , you are a disappointement to your readers. Must you recieve the land allocation? why not follow the footpath of higly honoured and morally upright people such as Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Chief Chinua Achebe, Prof Wole Shoyinka, who were offered greek gifts by the same dishonourable FGN but rejected them base on principle of morals.?

I hope you will not condescend into a degrading level by picking on Sowore for doing a good job.
In a simple analysis Dr, your case is like a pastor who receives gifts and donations from an armed robber (known to him) and yet feels he has the moral right to counsel such person to desist from armed robbery. Dr. Abati, the best you can do to re-write your name in the good book of Nigerians, is to return the greek gift to the FGN otherwise, history will not forgive you. If i may ask you a question my dear Dr. Abati. How would you feel if someone forcefully dislodge you from your house and starts giving out your properties as gifts, and among the people that came forward to receive the gifts are your close friends, relatives, the very people you look upto as role models of a decent society?. In this land allocation issue, the FGN is the dislodger; Nigerians are the dislodged, and YOU are the reciever of the gift. Nigerians have looked upto you that you would never betray the trust we have (had) in you. You have (had) so many followers (including me) due to your contribution towards making Nigeria a better place but my like a park of card you fell flat for nothing but a piece of land which the same or another government can still use their political manipulation to get back from you.
