Where Does Akwa Ibom PDP Secretary, Akpabio's Brother Live ?

March 2, 2009
Sir: Barrister Ibanga Akpabio is a brother to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State. He was a Personal Assistant to the Governor until the last ‘election’ of the new State executive of the PDP when he became the State Secretary.  Before the advent of Barrister Godswill Akpabio as Governor, Barrister Ibanga Akpabio was practicing from his Law Chamber located at Ikot Ekpene.

Reading the national dailies Saturday February 28, 2009 and especially in the Guardian page 37, a 5-piece photograph with headline “Unto the Akpabios, a Daniel is born” captured my attention. It was Barrister and Mrs. Ibanga Akpabio’s newly born baby named Ubong Daniel Akpabio that was being dedicated in a church known as Glory House World Church in far away Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Many people flew all the way from Nigeria to US for this ceremony. Whose money was used for the travel? His brother, the governor was reportedly represented by the State’s Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Dr. Emem Wilcox.

There was also in attendance the Akwa Ibom State ‘Independent’ Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Glory. On whose account did she travel for this ‘important’ occasion? How indeed could someone heading a supposedly independent body be there? How independent would the result be when an election is conducted under her care?

Again when has the PDP Secretary in Akwa Ibom started living in United States of America? Or is this a new status symbol because he is known to be residing with the wife in Ikot Ikpene before his brother became the governor. Can someone tell me why kidnappers would not strike after seeing this type of lifestyle that is ultimately with their (tax-payers) fund which is being plundered with impunity and flaunted before them, the pauperized?

Most people in government must be called to order and who is to do this?
