Senator Lawrence Agunbiade, an AC Leader in Ise Orun was abducted by gunmen this morning as polls was about to commence. He has however been retrived from his abductors and receiving treatment from gunshot wounds. Four of his abductors were arrested and handed over to the police. Sources said they confessed they were sent by the Ise/Orun council Chairman who may have been arrested.
After serious mayhem in Oyo, Senator Ayo Arise has reportedly been personally arrested by a DIG and voting terminated in the town.
Soilders have been cited in Okemesi, mission yet unknown.
Widespread reports of ballot snatching abound. In Ijero for instance 4 ballot boxes were snatched by PDP thugs.One has been recovered.
In the Farm Settlement in Orin, policemen in a Road safety vehicle carted away ballot boxes.
Ido LG has however recorded peaceful and orderly polls.
