Chairman of GUO Transport Company Godwin Okeke has been released; kidnappers who seized released the businesman yesterday at All Saints Church on Awka Road, Onitsha released him at 7:30 PM Nigerian time.
Family sources said he was released with "gun wounds", they did not elaborate if his abductors shot him. Another source told Saharareporters that Chief Okeke’s family members paid several millions of naira in ransom money to effect his release.
