COLONYINVEST-NET AND NIGERIANS IN THAILAND

September 23, 2009
COLONYINVEST-NET AND NIGERIANS IN THAILAND The closure of Colonyinvest, a high yield investment program has seriously affected the Nigerian consul in Bangkok financially, to the extent of persecuting his fellow Nigerians on 6th day of Dec 2007, who lost money in the same investment with him as well. Colonyinvest like many other HYIP scammers was paying 27usa dollars daily as interest for a thousand dollar($1000) invested with them. Because of high interest rate many Nigerians including our dear consul Mr. Henry Offor was lured into the shady program. Another prevalent element to Colonyinvest is that of its referral program, which simply means that you earn a commission based on the number of investors you referred. Without weighing the pros and cons many Nigerians including Nigerian consul in Thailand Mr. Henry Offor invested into this pyramid scheme which lasted for only four months. Presently, our Nigerian consul took his Nigerian counterpart who also invested in the shady deal to Thailand immigration for deportation because the wife of the said Nigerian, a Thai citizen, was a broker in colonyinvest. One of those Nigerians our consul took to immigration for deportation invested $6000 us dollars while our dear consul invested $4000 us dollars. What an abuse of power Mr. consul? Thai immigration officers, after hearing the arguments from both parties, then advised them to resolve amicably since all of them invested and lost money together or go to police for final settlement. What a disgrace Mr. consul and his cronies are bringing to Nigerian Embassy in Thailand. The big question is who referred Nigerian consul to this type of investment scheme? The answer to this question will be revealed later but first let’s critically examine the reason and motivating factor for the above act. The reason is pure greed and selfishness and what motivates him is nothing but his desire to acquire referral commission, which ranges from $100 dollar to $1000 dollars depending on the amount, the investor deposits. Just like the consul who invested $4000 us dollars, his introducer will earn $400 us dollars instantly. Although it was a good start, after sometime when most of the investors had not even recovered their principal amount, the business was wound up. Some lucky ones that started at the inception recovered their principal amount with some profit. But majority lost theirs. Any good investor or good thinking mind will not invest in this type of business(Colonyinvest) after reading their terms of agreement as stated below. PART OF TERMS OF AGREMENT OF COLONYINVEST As a private transaction, this program is exempt from the USA securities act of 1933, the USA securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the USA investment company Act of 1940 and all other rules, regulations and amendments thereof. NOW, COMING TO THE BIG QUESTION OF WHO INTRODUCED NIGERIAN consul IN BANGKOK THAILAND INTO THIS TYPE OF PYRAMID SCHEME; It is pertinent to know that a Nigerian citizen in Thailand (Namewitheld) was the one who introduced Nigerian consul in Bangkok ( Mr. Henry Offor ) into the shady deal. One will keep on wondering why Mr. Henry Offor should stoop so low to the extent of falling prey in the hand of his introducer who has a questionable character. To be precise, Mr. Henry Offor as a technocrat and a diplomat is supposed to know that his dear friend is an ex-convict who has served many years in Thailand prison for various crimes against humanity, including illicit drug business. I wonder why the narcotic police dept still allow a big drug dealer like him to still remain in the Thai Kingdom. The purpose of this article is to advise the Nigerian consul in Bangkok Thailand to stop harassing those innocent Nigerian victims, who lost their money to internet scammers, and at the same time asking him to desist in associating with this few dubious Nigerian drug dealers, before he, by their actions tarnishes Nigeria's image. From all indications, it was obvious that the consul had been receiving his interest since the day he invested into this type of pyramid scheme (Colonyinvest). The consul (Mr. Henry Offor) should bear his loss like any other victim. Over a hundred Nigerians in Bangkok invested in Colonyinvest, this figure excludes Ghanaians, Vietnams, Malaysians, Thais, Philippines, Hong Kong and nationals from many other countries.
