Time to start killing our oppressors

October 16, 2009
"We must kill some leaders to save Nigeria?" The article with the above title written by Chief Niyi Akintola, a lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) as a main headline in the front page of Sunday Champion, October 11, 2009 echoed the frustrations of many Nigerians to what is happening in this country. We have prayed for so long to God to give us our own Rawlings that many of us have come to the conclusion that God has abandoned the Nigerians to their fate. It is time we take our destiny in our hand because if we continue to wait for a deliverer we might end up waiting till eternity. Nigeria is too big and too complex for the Ghanaian solution to work here. An activist in Nigerian today soon becomes a member of the oppressor as soon as he or she is given a federal appointment or becomes the chairman of a board of a government's company. How many Gani are out there now? For every Gani out there, we have ten Momodu destroying their works. We don't need to wait any longer for a deliverer if this country is not to go the way of Yugoslavia. When a Soludo becomes the governorship candidate of the ruling party I know the time has come for the ultimate solution. My solution is to start killing our oppressors now beginning with our corrupt legislators. Unlike a Sahara reporter who advocated the killing of the families of corrupt Nigerians, I propose like Chief Akintola that we start killing the corrupt politicians themselves right now. We can leave the honest ones for now if there are any left. Let us start with our legislators. After all the legislators are the ones who refused to perform their oversight functions of monitoring the executives thereby giving them free hands to do as they like. They are only interested in feathering their nest. They allocate to themselves millions in the name of constituency and other frivolous allowances. They even have the temerity to start proposing immunity from prosecution for their members. What a nerve? I am not advocating sending other people's children to the streets to kill while I stay in the comfort of my home. I want to be part of the executioners if I can lay my hand on a gun. I don't even need a big gun, a pistol will do. Any help from any quarter is welcome. Just tell me where I can lay my hand on a pistol and wait to see the result of my work in few days. The Niger Deltans should stop kidnapping innocent people for ransom if they want us to take them seriously. They should start killing their politicians who has been collecting millions of their derivation without anything to show for it. By the time they kill about ten of their corrupt leaders, others will take to flight. What the hell is Odili, Alams and all the corrupt clans still doing walking the streets? Wake up Niger Deltans take your destiny in your hands. Let the killings be simultaneous all over the country. We all know those who are responsible for our problems. We know those who short circuited our future by derailing our present. By the time twenty federal legislators are killed, the remaining ones will be ready to discuss true federation, resource control and FOB. We don't even need to go to the street. We will only get killed. Let us for once be the ones doing the killing. Thou shall not kill? Fuck that. God will forgive us for sending those who killed our future to the great beyond if at all they would ever get there. We will do what we are going to do clandestinely like the ANC did in South Africa when they forced the whites to the negotiating table after losing many of their members to the black liberation movement. Let all those who have guns direct them at the corrupt politicians. We all know them. I am exited about the outcome of such an escapade. I swear on my grandfather's grave that many of our oppressors will turn tail and leave the country for us. We don't need to pursue them once they flee the country. You think I am a dangerous dreamer? Not so. This is the only solution to the problem of this country because I don't think anybody will lead a revolution here. Our oppressors are never going to give us any breathing space until we are all buried alive. Even then, their children will continue to oppress our children. The PDP said they are going to rig for the next fifty years. I don't see this as an empty boast because no party except the military is going to remove the PDP from power in Nigeria until we are ready to remove them by force. I refuse to consign my unborn children and their children to servitude of the PDP. I refuse to let rascals and idiots dictate my future any longer. Is there anyone out there who can help me procure that hand gun? What is the use of living when there is no hope of a better tomorrow and I don’t see a better tomorrow with the present crop of rascals that permeate our political horizon. A friend called me a lunatic when he heard about my solution. I agree I am crazy. It takes a lunatic to live in this hell hole called Nigeria. How can one be sane in a country where you read of people stealing billions everyday and nothing happens to them. Our number one chief law officer even proposed we take the money stolen from them and let them go. What a country! How can one be sane in a country where nothing works? No light, no job, no food, nothing works here. Five of my friends have relocated to Ghana where they eke out a living. They phoned to say they are better off living in Ghana. For heavens sake the Ghanaians used to come here to eke out living some years back and you say we should not start dispatching those who are responsible for this retrogression to hell where they belong? Come off it, they all deserve to die the most horrible death. It is time we start reading news about their death. Since God is not going to do it like he did to Abacha, we can start giving our father in heaven a helping hand by dispatching them to where they rightly belong. Soon everything will go haywire by the time they withdraw their so called subsidy on petrol. Let the guns begin before this nonsense. Can I get that gun please? I am ready to fire the first shot. The men in black will not even know who is doing the killing. Some of them who are collaborators are going to be among our victims anyway. Let someone tell me how I can lay my hand on that gun and I will get me a few legislators from my state.
