Angry Victims of the Fraudulent ThisDay Music Festival Against “Oppression”

February 7, 2010

I make this call on public space because I am out of options. I raise alarm on Facebook because out here, it is difficult for the powerful to shush the weak. Out here, there are no loyalty cliques, no truth-suppressing alliances and no repressive censorship, just human beings  – ordinary, bare, equal.

I have an issue with the massive fraud that is the This Day Music Festival of Peace in Niger Delta.  Not because I am the only one who was given dud cheques with an intent to defraud, not because a good number of talent managers, service providers, third party suppliers and state governments for reasons best known to them have chosen to grumble behind closed doors and allow the promoters rape the dignity out of them but because, in a short while, the organization will gather respectable personalities and institutions together again and make a mockery of the term “leadership”.

I have sent a petition to the EFCC and copied the IGP, CP (Lagos), Governments of Edo and Akwa-Ibom states and the Nigerian Music Industry Coalition. Mr. Nduka Obiagbena and the This Day Music Festival organization should show me a little respect and pay what they owe my company –the “peanut” that it is.
The EFCC and all copied institutions should prevail on the Mighty promoter to pay off the tiny supplier and everything will be nice and easy – and that’s if the other victims choose to let it all slide. Here’s calling out to all Angry Victims of the Fraudulent This Day Music Festival within and outside Nigeria. Inbox your contact details to my Facebook Account. My lawyers are primed for action. This has got to stop. Here and now!
