The judgment of the Sokoto state gubernatorial election petition that have dragged for over a year between Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, the candidate of DPP and Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of the PDP is finally coming to an end as a definite judgement date was fixed for Wednesday 24th February, 2010.
A letter of notice served on counsels of appellant (s) and respondent (s), which was signed by the Senior Registrar of the Court of Appeal of the Sokoto Judicial Division said the ruling would be delivered at 9: 00 o’clock in morning.
Part of the notice reads:, “Take notice that the above mentioned appeal/motion will be listed for Judgment before the Court of Appeal sitting at Dendo Road off Sultan Abubakar Road, near Old Police Headquarters, Sokoto. On the 24th day of Feb 2010 at 9: 00 o’clock or soon thereafter. “
