Ribadu arrived Lagos  aboard Delta airlines from Atlanta, US around 5: 00 PM to the warm embrace of his friends, family members and activists supporters.
He was immediately whisked out of the airport as crowds gathered to greet him. The Police Service Commission last week restored his ranks  while the Code of Conduct Bureau withdrew charges of non-declaration of assets filed against him by the Umaru Yar'adua regime to clear the way fro his return after he was hounded out Nigeria following two unsuccesful assasination attacks, a demotion and flurry of media attacks on him.
