Rampant Kidnapping: The IG, Security Chiefs and others are Incompetent. Fire Them Now. Period!

July 13, 2010

What are all these fuss about town, that no one dare leave his or her home and expect to come back home alive or un-kidnapped? Wait, don’t we have an Inspector General of police, Director General of States Security Services, Commissioners of Police, Nigeria Intelligence Agency and others who have are under a duty by law to protect our lives and safety?

What are all these fuss about town, that no one dare leave his or her home and expect to come back home alive or un-kidnapped? Wait, don’t we have an Inspector General of police, Director General of States Security Services, Commissioners of Police, Nigeria Intelligence Agency and others who have are under a duty by law to protect our lives and safety?
NO! Enough is Enough, someone/persons is not doing his jobs and as such should be fired immediately before the clock ticks off. That Kidnapper are having fun at our expense whilst our security chiefs issue threats to “unknown” persons says alot about those our constitution trust to keep watch over us. From Lagos to Abia to Kano and Abuja our peoples, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters children, visitors enemies and friends are kidnapper at random on the streets, at homes, in the church, offices, market, you name it; whist ransoms are paid to these “unknown” people speaks so much more than we have heard from the security services. This abnormality has to end now, I mean right NOW.

President Jonathan should before the end of today sack all the security chiefs without further delay. We can no long pretend to be unaware of the incompetency of all the security chiefs. This is too much for a people and a nation to bear. Other security chiefs in progress minded nations would have been long gone before the issue is even discussed further, why is Nigeria a different case? Why must vice be accepted as a normal thing in our chime?

My friends laugh at me whenever I invited them to come and visit, because at every break of the news someone is kidnapped somewhere or killed either by a trigger happy police officer or jolly killer robbers. Enough means Enough right this minute. This country is our country and we cannot take this anymore. Some group of persons cannot just seat somewhere under the watchful eyes of our police and SSS men killing, scaring our investors, our friends and kidnapping our people. No! It can longer go on anymore. Somebody has to be fired while others are made to face the law.

We cannot have questionable police officers who protect known kidnappers and robbers without sanctions. We cannot have police officers who have over the years proved to be inefficient. I disagree with those that pity the condition our police officers work in. Combating crime has little to do with weaponry. United Kingdom and Irish Police don’t carry arms, yet they are very effective. It takes will, love dedication to duty, courage to perform the work of policing to do the job.

The states have over the years given cars and other supports to the police, yet no time have we called on our police while distress they responded. Excuses are always made; either they do not have weapon or fuel to drive their motors. But when is to go on patrol for #20, our police officer will have enough fuel to chase a driver who refused to drop. Enough is Enough. I mean we can’t condone these laxities of the police anymore.

The Nigeria police establishment, both by design and by trick are cultivating and inciting these obnoxious events. Yes! Our police officers are the robbers and kidnappers. I Carl Kash made this claim, prove me wrong. The whole of the South is now a no go area for people whose families and businesses resides there. What kind of a society are we living in if we cannot traverse the length and breadth of Nigeria? No! The IG and DG-SSS has to go now. Period!!! When we start to hold people accountable for their failures is time the next man will start performing his duties and play his/her roles.

Is President Jonathan listening to the news and the talks in the streets? Kidnappers are not aliens, they live among us everyday and the police know them by their names and faces. Whatever happened to Intelligence gathering? Or is the SSS only suppose to be in the State House and Governors car convoy?

President Jonathan cannot pretend that billions of naira is not being exchanged to free our people lives and safety from the den of the kidnappers, neither will he forget that people are killed everyday when they don’t meet these kidnappers outrageous demands. Our banks are as guilty as the police. They provide information to these people who return to kidnap our people.

My question is who goes to collect the ransoms deposited in the kidnappers banks account? How can 10million, 50, 100millions bulky naira’s be stashed in bags and nobody knows who picks them up?

President Jonathan if you cannot sack the Inspector General of Police, the Director General of SSS, and the Director General of Nigeria Intelligence Agency with immediate effects, You the President is FIRED.
