2011: New Year Predictions For Nigerian Politicians

December 20, 2010

CLARIFICATION: I’m neither a prophet nor a psychic. I’m an ordinary Christian who doesn’t aspire to be a prophet. Nonetheless, I have an inalienable conviction that the divine sometimes speaks through a commonplace man, woman, or child.

CLARIFICATION: I’m neither a prophet nor a psychic. I’m an ordinary Christian who doesn’t aspire to be a prophet. Nonetheless, I have an inalienable conviction that the divine sometimes speaks through a commonplace man, woman, or child.

After all, “the voice of the people is the voice of God.” The divine probably speaks through the ordinary mortal twice as much as he speaks through a prophet. Regrettably, the people hardly listen to the ordinary man, woman, or child who is not a prosperity preaching cleric. Now, take a deep breath and listen to the voice of the people; which could as well be the voice of God for the Year 2011.

Thus, say the people of Nigeria: We, the maltreated, weary, and worn people of Nigeria, have cried unto the Lord of host, and he has listened to our petitions. We hold this altruistic belief that he is willing and ready to swing his double-edged sword on our behalves. 2011 shall be a Year of “Electgeddon” for the desperate Nigerian politicians and their sycophantic “yes-men.” That’s right, the year of “election” and “Armageddon.” That is the year when the divine shall declare Armageddon in the household of every Nigerian politician who rigs elections. 2011 is also the Year of “ABC” for fraudulent political parties. That means the divine shall Alter, Blaster, and Chatter the nomenclature of every political party that fixes elections for its members to win.

The divine is full of wrath for the ill-fated men and women of hade who planned to sponsor thugs or engage in threatening behaviors during the forthcoming elections. Such politicians shall see the beginning, but not the end of the elections. Their names shall be written in the disreputable footnotes of the Nigerian history books. The legacies of the government officials, who planned unrest for the 2011 elections, and their connivers in high and low places, shall be obliterated from the memories of the good people of Nigeria. Such people and their offspring shall have no share in the good harvests of the Nigerian nation. More pathetic will be the fate of those who imported weapons into the country, for the purpose of getting elected at all cost. Their lineages shall know no peace for numerous generations.

Unh! Unh!! Unh!!! Year 2011 is the Year of “IBB” for the corrupt Nigerian politicians. That is the year of “Ignominy, Bereavement, and Bankruptcy” in that order. Their households shall be deluged with melancholic miseries. Their wives shall be afflicted with terminal diseases because those leaders denied the needy people of Nigeria good healthcare facilities. They shall have stolen-money to send their women abroad for healthcare, but the latter shall not return home breathing. Their spoiled brats shall drive the luxury cars bought with stolen-money on the roads the politicians failed to maintain, but they shall return home deceased. The money and favors the corrupt officials give to their ingratiating supporters shall turn to deficit in the pockets of the latter.

The Nigerian officials’ children sent abroad with stolen money shall associate with the undesirable people overseas and they shall bring shame upon their families in the Year 2011 and beyond. Perhaps, I should say this again – the divine will be venomously angry with the Nigerian officials who send their children abroad with stolen-money while Nigerian ivory towers fester at home. All of the households that send their children to school abroad with stolen-money shall have sorrow as the hallmark of their lots in 2011. They shall pray for forgiveness, but none shall come till they confess their sins publicly and return the money they stole from the deprived people of Nigeria. Whatever the Nigerian officials who thrive on bribes procure or raise with the bribery money shall hunt, haunt, and hurt them.

2011 will be an apologetic year for the politicians who rode to the exalted public offices on the thrust of the people’s trust; only to get there and start legislating for their own insatiable needs. Those skunks, egocentric, ham-fisted, predatory, unpatriotic, visionless, and mission-less turncoats, who found national provisions unexpectedly and started over-stuffing their dried faces, will have more to sorry about in 2011. They shall have the stolen money to buy posh beds, but not peaceful sleep at night; for they have murdered sleep. The stolen-money shall give them access to the best medical facilities, but it won’t be enough to buy them good health. The insignificant ailments that ordinary Nigerians give no hoot about shall snuff life out of the corrupt politicians.

The short-changed people of Nigeria have a word for the corruptible men and women of God who connived with the corrupt politicians. The pastors, Imams, and native doctors who warmed up to the corrupt politicians, instead of rebuking them for suffering the children of God, will share out of the life-sized lashes reserved for the crooked politicians. So are the Nigerians who saw nothing wrong with egging on, promoting, and supporting the corrupt politicians. There shall be no division between the chastisement apportioned the corrupt politicians and those who supported them. All of them are condemnable for their contemptible acts. Year 2011 shall be the beginning of a lifetime of distress for those who have the opportunity to bring CHANGE, ACCOUNTABILITY, and HOPE to Nigeria, but choose the corrupt politicians because of the favors and bribe money they get.

The divine is sick and tired of watching Nigerian babies passing away due to treatable diseases because the corrupt politicians did nothing. The heavenly hosts are fed up with seeing Nigerian mothers dying during childbirth because the corrupt politicians have turned the nation’s healthcare facilities to death-consulting facilities. The celestial powers can no longer watch the poor Nigerians vanishing on the death-traps called roads in Nigeria. All because some government officials pocketed the money meant for maintaining the nation’s highways. The divine is saying in no uncertain terms that Nigeria cannot remain the yardstick for measuring what is wrong in the modern world. Every Nigerian who wanted a better nation, but refuses to join the crowds of Nigerians fanning the wind of change shall feel sorry for not heeding the clarion call.

Conclusively, all of the corrupt elements who try to condemn or attempt to deaden the selfless messages expressed herein shall be condemned on earth and in heaven. Their offspring shall neither witness nor share from the coming goodness of the nation of Nigeria. All living corrupt Nigerian politicians, whose insatiable demands have created holes in the nation’s economy, shall be ridden off the land of the living by the forces beyond their means and reaches. All of the ordinary Nigerian Christians say – Amen; the common Nigerian Muslims say – Amen; the everyday Nigerian Traditional Worshipers say – Yes; and the regular Nigerian agnostics say – Yes! That was the voice of the people; the voice of God. Let the ethical revolution begin in Nigeria now!
