UPDATED: Delta State Election Re-Run: Is It An Election Or INEC Scandal Unfolding-Field Reports

So far, only in Kwale where citizen reporters affiliated to Saharareporters are monitoring the elections is accrediting of voters through a widely publicized open ballot system .

 Also, election materials for Bowen and Pessu wards in Warri South have been hijacked and taken to Alders town primary school by PDP thugs and active thumb-printing of ballot papers are in progress. Party agents were beaten and the policemen on duty are  helpless according to our reporters.

In Udu local area,no accreditation all over, no security to accompany ballot papers and election material despite reports of deployment of a large number of security agents across the state.
 
Also, in Uvwie LGA in Effurun round about, no accreditation is taking place. In Warri South Iyiara, materials have been hijacked. Warri stadium materials have also been hijacked.

Ethiope East LGA, in Kokori and Abraka, police station junction no materials have arrived as at 11: 00 am. Voters told SaharaReporters they  haven't seen any materials for 30+ polling booths in the area. INEC officials later showed up with the wrong paper work for the election. Ethiope East is Great Ogboru's local government area.
 
In Orogun, the hometown of Ovie Omo-Agege, a unit in Ward 2, no election materials had arrived as at 11: 25 AM.

But Kayode Idowu, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC chairman told SaharaReporters that  these are isolated incidents, he claimed "accreditation" is ongoing and that for every report of violence INEC chair, Attahiru Jega is on a hotline to  the  Inspector General of police.

He says, Jega is about to leave the INEC headquarters in Asaba to begin assessment of the elections.

10: 45 AM (Nigerian time) Violence has erupted in Agaga layout area of Uvwie as voters protest hijack of election materials. Also on Warri/Effurn Road by JFM Goldspot, youths carrying sticks attack journalists and INEC staff

At Olodi Primary school Okumagba ward 11 unit 3 voters complained of inadequate security. Only six policemen guarding 16 polling booths in the highly volatile Warri south LGA

INEC Chairman's team says they've noticed some rowdiness but things are under control. Jega visits polling units at Okwe where accreditation had been concluded. INEC chair team said they've heard complaints of people printing fake voters card overnight and the clogging of polling booths by person with no voter's card.

Jega on his way to Warri, Patani, Bomadi and  Burutu. INEC says , results will be pasted immediately after they are counted and then collated
 
 Chief Edwin Clark spoke from his home saying things are going well so far in his area. He said reports from Uvwie shows that an attempt by the local government chairman to hijack ballot boxes was rebuffed. 
 
 Reports says PDP thugs are actively hijacking ballot boxes  and intimidating voters and party agents in Pessu, Okere, GRA, Igbudu and Bowen wards in Warri South LGA. Security is obviously compromised in the area.
