100% of the funds raised will go to his widow, and his 5-year old daughter. We need to make a point, and especially to our young people, that a life spent advocating for  public good is not a wasted life, and that those who put their lives on the line in the battle for a better society will not be forgotten when the enemies of freedom take them out.

We urge all people of goodwill to donate to the Chidi Nwosu Memorial Fund.

On The Assassination Of Comrade Chidi Nwosu: Nigerians In Diaspora Ask For Justice

Dear Inspector General Ringim:

Nigerians in Diaspora for Justice for Comrade Chidi Nwosu is a coalition of Nigerians in Britain, United States, Canada, and Africa. We are saddened to read about the reprehensible and gruesome murder of Comrade Chidi Nwosu. Prior to his death, comrade Chidi Nwosu was an activist and the President of Human Rights, Justice and Peace Foundation,  a Nigerian-based Human Rights Organization.

According to reports, in the early morning of December 29, 2010, gunmen trailed comrade Chidi Nwosu to his village in Amaeke Abam in Arochukwu LGA of Abia state. They invaded his home and locked his wife and 5 year-old daughter in the bathroom, following which they beat and tortured Mr. Nwosu, splashing his blood on the walls of his home. They murdered him execution-style, with a gunshot straight to his temple! Comrade Chidi Nwosu was shot to death within earshot of his wife and daughter.

Sir, nobody should ever have to die such a horrifying death. Furthermore, no five year-old should be subjected to this type of trauma.

Before his death, comrade Chidi Nwosu stood for justice; in death, the least the society owes him is to bring his killers to justice. Sir, we urge you to leave no stone unturned in finding and bringing to justice those responsible for this heinous crime.

We also encourage any members of the public who have any information that could lead to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of those responsible to contact the Nigerian Police.

We thank you for your efforts, and we also the Nigerian people for supporting Chidi Nwosu.s family at this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Nigerians in Diaspora for Justice for Comrade Chidi Nwosu
