The 20-year old British-born Nigerian and her friends came to the US for the surgery after she arranged with a group of women who advertised their services online. The butt-enhancement treatments were administered on Claudia at the Hampton Inn hotel in Southwest area of Philadelphia.

Shortly after the treatment she complained of chest pain and had difficulty  breathing. She had to be rushed to the Mercy Fitzgerald hospital in Darby, Pennsylvanaia where she was pronounced dead before doctors could save her.

In October 2005, Nigeria's first lady, Stella Obasanjo died in an exclusive Spanish hospital after she underwent a liposuction at the Molding Clinic in Marbella. The surgeon involved in the surgery was jailed for one year in 2009 by a Malaga Court in Spain.

Police authorities in Philadelphia are yet to make any arrests but they have questioned one of the women involved in the procedure that took Claudia's life on Monday.
