This video documented the outcome of the failed April 2nd parliamentary
election in Nigeria. This videographer documented the chaos that
characterized the failure of the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) to provide appropriate guidance to its officials as
the vote failed logistically.
What this video shows, most importantly, was the spirit of the voters,
at this polling booth in Lagos, who were poised to prevent the
manipulation of their votes. In a semi-hostage situation, they insisted
that the electoral officials destroy the used ballot papers before
departing the polling booth.
