In as much as we will not like to engage in polemics with people like this man, we will however, continue to correct his false and twisted propagation of false hubris. As human beings. we all have the right to our own impressions, we do not however, have the right to false interpretation of facts.
Mallam Little, and whomever Mr Ogunro has cited as reference for the genereral's supposed dictatorial characteristics are examples of false hubris. Mr. Ogunro forgot to tell readers that he was not and has never been a member of the ANPP. Therefore all what he wrote are in the realm of conjectures and innuendos. We will not therefore dignify his false claims with MUCH response. Mallams Shekarau, Little and any other person he wishes to cite as examples of victim hood will all admit one thing. They could not have become politically relevant but for the opportunities and exposure given to them by General Buhari. In politics, issues are not based on emotions as this hack writer portrayed, decisions, are made based on what is good for all. Substitution is neither new nor peculiar to ANPP or CPC. It cuts across the board. Even the faceless people sponsoring Mr. Ogunro are engaged in the same thing. Hopefully, he will remember to mention them in future when he chooses to disparage other people.
For the avoidance of doubt, general Buhari (rtd) does not unilaterally take decisions in his party. Decisions are based on consensus. Therefore, if the majority in the party decides to substitute a candidate, it remains the decision of the party and so have nothing to do with personal issues between the general and his supposed phantom enemies. General Buhari does not in any way interfere in the internal affairs of local party politics. It may be hard for people like this paid writer to accept such fact. The truth however is that the CPC has an incredible internal democracy amongst all the political parties in Nigeria. He has neither brought his wife, children as candidates. He has not violated the constitution of his party. He has not signed on party policies as in zoning and then turned round to violate it even while telling bare faced lies.. Frankly, Mr Ogunro should wise up and do something serious with his time.
Were his assertions about road projects not tragic, they would have been laughable. We encourage him to direct his query about the disappearing or disappeared roads funds in Nigeria to his masters in the PDP. We wonder if Mr. Ogunro was in Nigeria when Orji Uzor Kalu accused Obasanjo and his cronies, specifically, Chief Anenih of misappropriating USD 30 billion meant for road projects in Nigeria. How about the USD 16 billion power project funds that disappeared into the private accounts of several PDP chiefs amongst whom were former governor Agagu and Imoke? Will you also like to tell us what happened to the Health ministry funds, which was also misappropriated by Iyabo Obasanjo and co. How about the Peugeot scam pulled by soon to be ex speaker Dimeji Bankole. How about explaining to us the exponential surge in wealth of the godfather of PDP politics, Olusegun Obasanjo. Were you in Nigeria when the seamy and salacious PTF scandal broke out between former president Oluseguun Obasanjo and his deputy Abubakar Atiku? How about all those planes that dropped out of the sky 1999-2007 because Professor Aborisade and Femi Fani Kayode stole the Aviation funds. If you doubt it, go back and read over the testimony of Femi fanii Kayode in respect of the activities of Professor Aborisade as per Aviation funds. In any case, an accused is assumed to be innocent until convicted by the court of law. Therefore the friends of General Buhari whom Mr Ogunro love to hate are assumed to be innocent until found guilty by a law court, not a rabid hater like Julius Ogunro. Examples of such abound in Nigeria. All those former governors in the PDP who allegedly stole their states blind and even managed to get perpetual injunction from being prosecuted are still assumed to be innocent until found guilty.
Frankly, those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Nigerians yearn for change and positive change they will get whether the hacks like Mr. Ogunro like it or not. General Buhari represent probity, transparency and all what we need to pull Nigeria out of the morass we currently face. Finally, we want to encourage Mr Ogunro to be careful about getting or trespassing into the private lives of other people. The shoe may just fit on the other leg. Your sponsors in the PDP are hardly in a position to talk about other people’s morality.
As for his religious credentials, and as we said in the past, WE REFUSE TO APOLOGIZE FOR OUR MODE OF WORSHIP. WE REFUSE TO APOLOGIZE FOR BEING MOSLEMS. WE REFUSE TO DENY ISLAM. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO WORSHIP GOD AS WE SEE FIT. Mr Ogunro and his ilk with Messianic credentials should live with it. We will not even allow you to get us into a collision with our Christian families and friends. You are hardly qualified to condemn any ones religious credentials
