Orlu Zone Youths Movement in Diasporas OZYMID has reaffirmed its confidence in judiciary and stated that “Judiciary is not only the last hope of a common man, but also a mediator between opposing groups to achieve peace”.
This was declared by its spokes man and London Chairman of the group Mr Ejike Ikezuagu in a statement issued to its members in Diasporas immediately Chief Hope Uzodimma was declared senator-elect of Orlu Senatorial Zone by the Supreme Court. In his earlier statements, he encouraged people of Orlu to remain calm and law abiding because according to him he said “The wishes of the people must surely prevail”, and promised the people of the Zone that judiciary has become instrumentally powerful to champion the wishes of the people and expressed self-assurance that their wishes can never be rubbed from them. “This is a victory for people of Orlu Zone; everybody is on board, the youths and elders of Orlu, I urge everyone to actively be involved to ensure that development is stretched to all the nooks and crannies of the Zone by participating positively for the Zone’s interest”. He described Chief Hope Uzodimma contender in the Court as a wonderful brother, and stressed that with people like him in the Zone, the Zone can never be intimidated, frightened, or even scared to champion its causes, and advised the Senator-elect to ally with him as a brother to give the Zone the “best”, as London OZYMID Chairman promised his unreserved support saying that OZYMID is solidly behind him.
In a similar reaction, Finland OZYMID Chairman Mr Chibuzo Dennis applauded the judgment of the Supreme Court in declaring Chief Hope Uzodimma winner of Imo-west senatorial district. He also stressed that the confidence in our judicial system has been strengthened by the decision which directly reflect the wish of Orlu people. He also urged Orlu people to unite for a greater task ahead. In his own words '' We are all winners and no looser in this event, we are very optimistic that Chief Hope Uzodimma will deliver and that is what Orlu/ Imolites are gasping for'' OZYMID is calling for progress and development that will reflect in the daily lives of our people. Finally he congratulated the new senator- elect Chief Hope Uzodimma and urged him to set a standard others will follow.
USA OZYMID Chairman Cyril Ojimba described the whole scenario as “elimination of charlatans who had kept the Zone stooped for decades”. And admonished the Senator-elect to live up to people’s expectations and promised his unalloyed support)
