Suspected Islamist group, Boko Haram, tonight struck again by assassinating the younger brother of Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abba Kyari Umar Garbai .

The Shehu's younger brother , Alhaji Abba Anas, was killed around 9:00 PM Nigerian time in Gangamari ward area of Maiduguri.
Said to be in his 30s, Abba was formerly a banker but recently changed career and joined the Nigerian paramilitary group, Civil Defence Corps, as as a supervisor.
He is the second close relation of of the traditional ruler to be killed by the radical islamist group.
