The minister of foreign affairs, Odein Ajumogobia has recalled the Nigerian ambassador to Kenya and Seycelles, Dr. Chijioke Wilcox Wigwe according to presidency sources.
Mr. Wigwe came to limelight in Kenya after he brutalized his wife, Tess Iyi Wigwe, leaving her with injuries that became a subject of investigation by the Kenyan police.
It is not immediately clear if the Nigerian government plans to prosecute the Ambassador for assault on his wife but the source told Saharareporters that Ambassador Wigwe's recall takes immediate effect.
