Her father, the Olubadan of Ibadan, has reached out to the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe,  to use his position of traditional ruler to pile pressure on Ekiti lawyer, Chief Afe Babalola SAN, to get Folasade out of the NAPTIP investigations.

In October, SaharaReporters broke the story about how the Princess burnt the arm of her 16-year old maid, Rukayat Buska, with a hot electric iron, but she has remained free from arrest since then, although a relative of hers, Ronke Okusanya, was arrested and detained thereafter by NAPTIP.  Princess Bankole told SaharaReporters following the arrest that she did not know why Mrs. Okusanya had been arrested.

Our reporter revealed that Princess Bakole was among the Ewi's entourage that went to visit Afe Babalola on November 15 over the issue.

Our sources revealed that the Olubadan has been communicating with Oba Adejugbe on the issue with the aim of saving her daughter from the law for what she did to Rukayat, the 16-year old girl who hails from Togo.

Up till now, the  Director General of the Nigeria Television Authority, Mallam Usman Magawata, has failed to take any action against the Princess Bankole, which is not unusual in a society in which influence is often more important than the law.

Instead, Mallam Magawata has reportedly ordered one of his GMs in Lagos to find a solution to the problem. The DG was responsible for the release of Princess Bankole when NAPTIP claimed to have briefly arrested her at the beginning of the case.
