Nigerian Police Say Roadside Bomb In Taraba Kills 3 Militants, Injures A Police Outrider

 CSP Frank Mba who is the deputy force public relations officer in Abuja told SaharaReporters over the phone that the explosion in Taraba state was a roadside bomb planted by militants on Kebbi Road in Jalingo, the state capital.

CSP Mba stated that the improvised explosive device went off close to the convoy of the state police commissioner around 8:25 AM as he made it to work.

Two of the assailants died in the explosion while a third was shot dead by the police according to the police PRO. He also revealed that a police outrider was slightly injured, and he is currently hospitalized in Jalingo.

Mr. Mba also dismissed rumors that there are synchronized attacks in Adamawa and Gombe states. He said those states remain calm as at the time of speaking with our reporter.
