SaharaReporters had earlier revealed that President Jonathan had removed himself from the event, choosing to send the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor Onwuliri, to represent him.

In a State House photo sent out by presidential spokesperson Reuben Abati, Mrs. Onwuliri is seen signing the BASA agreement with the Deputy Israeli Foreign Minister, Mr Zeer Elkin, in a ceremony at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem.

The presidential spokesperson in an attempt to hoodwink the media, did not state whether the embattled Minister of Aviation was in the gathering, however, Saharareporters gathered that Mrs. Oduah, the minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina and that of works, Minister of Works Arc. Mike Onolememen were also in attendance at the ceremony.
