Factory Workers Die In Kano Industrial Accident

Four workers of the Kano Tans Leather Factory in the Challawa Industrial Area drowned today while trying to evacuate industrial waste from the company’s treatment plant.

Confirming the incident, police spokesman Magaji Musa Majiya explained that the tragedy occurred at about 7:15am.  An exact description of how they died was not provided.

The company’s Chief Security Officer, Musa Umar,reported the matter to the police command, which immediately deployed security personnel to the scene.

The bodies of the victims were deposited in the mortuary of Murtala Muhammad Hospital before subsequently being buried according to Islamic practice.
