It said " We received the news of the death of Mr. Osaro Edeghongho, Corps member in Asaba, Delta State who was murdered by an unknown assailant with utmost sadness and regrets like any other Nigerian".

“We are appealing to the state governor of Edo State and the Commissioner of Police to step in and take the right action on this matter", the statement said.

According to the group, “In the 2011 post election crisis, that some of our corps members were murdered in Bauchi State, Adamawa, Borno and Yobe is still fresh in our memories", the statement added.

“Where is the Nigerian police, where is the Edo State government? We want justice and this matter must be settled in a fair manner. We want peace and for that peace, let there be justice.”

“We thought Nigerians were guaranteed freedom of movement in the constitution, but that freedom seems to be lacking in Edo State, otherwise, how should this happen to our corp member, Mr. Osaro Edeghonghon? Our brother was in a joint and unknown to him some persons ambushed him at Ekpoma. And just like that they killed him, what a tragedy?

“We want the culprits to be brought to book; to face the music. That is what we want. We need the killers to be brought to book", the group said.

On the Abuja bomb blast, "We are saddened with the continued killings of innocent Nigerians for political benefits by the Boko haram sect, as such the Federal Government should as a matter of urgency speed up strategies to end the insurgents in Nigeria, our heartfelt condolences goes out to the families of the deceased and may God be pleased with them", the statement added.
