Felix Kabange, Congo’s Health Minister confirmed the Ebola deaths but stressed that the deaths were of a different strain than the type that has caused over 1400 deaths in West Africa.

The deaths were linked to reports of an unidentified fever that killed several people last month in Congo’s Equateur region, including a doctor and four nurses.
