The Federal Polytechnic University, Ado Ekiti (FEDPOLY), in Ekiti State, has been shutdown indefinitely.
Management closed the institution on Monday following student unrest over increment on tuition fee.
The protesters are part-time students who were aggrieved over an increase of N25,000.00 in their fees.
The students barricaded the entrance to the institution and carried placards bearing inscriptions such as: "Bring Down Our School Fees", "Reduce Our School Fees", and "Our Parents Are Not Money Making Machines", among others.

Some of the students told our correspondent that they had written to the rector of the institution, Mrs. Theresa Akande, pleading for the reduction of their tuition fee.
According to them, the none of the letters were replied as they claimed that the management is insensitive to their plight.
All effort to get a comment from the rector proved abortive, but a senior management staff in the institution told SaharaReporters that the school would react and get back to journalists promptly.
