Adebayor Flies To Togo To Resolve Family Issue

The former Monaco striker’s sudden trip might be connected to the recent family troubles that have engulfed his family, which became public when the player’s sister told listeners of a popular Ghanaian radio station that Emmanuel has neglected his own mother even throwing the poor woman out of his house at a point.

Tottenham FC has revealed that Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor will miss today’s Europa league clash with Besiktas, after the player requested for permission to travel to his country of birth.

In a statement on their website, the North London club wrote: “We can confirm that Emmanuel Adebayor has been given permission to return home for personal reasons. This is a private matter and so we will not be providing any further comment," the release read.
