President Jonathan Abandons Boko Haram Victims Resettled In Abuja

When President Goodluck Jonathan gave his Christmas day statement, he urged Nigerians to "Do good, support Boko Haram victims, pray for our troops."

Over the Christmas period our photographers visited a camp set up for persons displaced by Boko Haram insurgency in  the federal capital Territory, Abuja.[slideshow]36867[/slideshow]

What we saw was a deplorable and appalling condition of the victims of Boko Haram violence that had been resettled  in a camp in Abuja, the victims who are  from different parts of Nigeria, particularly, the Northeast states ravaged by the insurgency. They were “resettled” in  Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Abuja.

These victims survive on the foods and relief materials brought by the faith-based organizations like churches , mosques and NGOs, obviously the government that told its citizens to care about the IDPs do not give a damn about them.
