Novelist Chibundu Onuzo, Sister Compose Song On Nigerian Elections

In a short interview with SaharaReporters, Chibundu described the song as “non-partisan.” She added that she and her sister felt it was appropriate to use the mass medium of a song to send a message to Nigerians. According to her, Nigerians should take their democratic rights seriously by voting wisely.

Choose Wisely - Dinachi and Chibundu Onuzo

Nigerian novelist Chibundu Onuzo and her sister, Dinachi Onuzo, have collaborated on a song that advises Nigerian voters to choose wisely in the forthcoming general elections scheduled for February 2015. 

Chibundu, who lives in the United Kingdom, is the author of the widely acclaimed and prize-winning novel, Spider King’s Daughter. Her sister, Dinachi, who is also based in London, is a highly gifted musician who plays several instruments in addition to singing.
