Leaked Document Reveals Investigation Of Olanusi In Ondo State

A source in the office of the Chief Judge, Olasehinde Kumuyi told SaharaReporters that the names were “well vetted before they the panel was constituted, and in accordance with the constitution.”

SaharaReporters has learned that a seven-member panel has been formed to investigate allegations of gross misconduct by Ondo State Deputy Governor Ali Olanusi this Thursday.

SaharaReporters correspondent also found that a retired Chief Magistrate, Mr. Olatunji Adeniyan, has been appointed the panel’s Chairman.

Other members of the panel include Ibrahim Sodeinde, Aladesanmi Akingbade, Abraham Kola Mathew, Eunice Yinka Obadele, Barrister Ademola Ekundayo, and the Venerable Richard Obafemi.

A source in the office of the Chief Judge, Olasehinde Kumuyi told SaharaReporters that the names were “well vetted before they the panel was constituted, and in accordance with the constitution.”  

“In line with the provision of section 188(5) of the Constitution of Federal Republic Of Nigeria 1999 as amended, I have set up a seven man panel to investigate the allegations against the Deputy Governor as required by the constitution,” the terse statement said.

The embattled Speaker of the Assembly, Jumoke Akindele had on Wednesday directed the State Chief Judge, Olasehinde Kumuyi ‎to set up an investigation into the Deputy Governor’s misconduct spearheaded by this panel.
