The Senior Special Assistant on Domestic and Social Matters, Dr. Wariponmowei Dudafagh, has dismissed the decision by a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa to expel him and nine others from the Party as a “sponsored act of impunity.”

According to Dudafagh, he and many other members of the State chapter of the PDP have shunned the unwarranted provocation sponsored by the State Governor, Seriake Dickson, the purported expulsion is a shameful act of disrespect to the Party rule and unity of the State.

The Presidential aide, Waripomowei Dudafah, in a statement issued through email, said though he would have “ignored the alleged expulsion, the action is the height of unwarranted provocations and sponsored acts of impunity against loyal Party faithfuls.”

According to him, "It is no secret that Gov. Dickson has brought the PDP to its lowest ebb in the history of democracy in Bayelsa State due to his bad governance, corruption, poor human relations, acts of impunity, injustice and nepotism."

"He is‎ acting like he has conquered the people of Bayelsa and has turned the State to a private estate belonging to him and his family members alone, as the only thing he does is to buy up all available land and build houses all over Yenagoa," the statement read in part.

The Presidential aide noted that the plan of the State Governor Seriake Dickson is known to the people of the State and should be taken with a pinch of salt, "Luckily, his plans are well known to all and the Bayelsa people are waiting patiently for the elections to come so that he will be voted out of office ignominiously."

"If however, Dickson remains in the PDP and gets the PDP ticket by hook or crook, then Bayelsa voters will massively vote Dickson and the PDP out of power. That much I can guarantee PDP because the general cliché is that it is Bayelsa United versus Dickson and Family."

These dismissals are the latest in a series of PDP suspensions after nation-wide losses the Party received during the presidential and state elections.
