Barely seven days after handing over the mantle of leadership of Kano State, it's former Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is yet to hands off Governor's official car, and 10 SUV convoy vehicles.
The conclusion of Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso's term of was last week and he did not make housing arrangements for his father, Alhaji Musa Sale, who is the district head of Madobi. There was no alternative accommodation for his father who has has been living in the Government house for about two years since a gunman’s attack on him.

Kwankwaso fled to Abuja shortly after handing over on May 29th, creating tension over the material possessions he retained and the N300b debt he left behind.
The security vehicles, which number up to 14, are currently been held by Kwankwaso with no action from the relevant authorities who ought to have withdrawn them.
A former media aide to Kwankwaso, who prefers anonymity, pleaded "I enjoined you to leave me out of this crisis for you know too well the likely consequences of speaking to you on this matter".
Upon arrival in Abuja, the former Governor quickly moved into the Kano Governor's lodge located at Asokoro area of the city and refused to vacate the mansion.
Subsequently, a trip to Abuja this weekend proposed by the new Kano strongman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, was cancelled because of Kwankwaso’s actions. The new administration doesn't have enough to hire expensive hotel at the federal capital territory.
A security person connected to the former Governor, but who did not want his name to be revealed in print, said that their allowances that run up to half a million naira is yet to be settled.
"We have been enslaved by overzealous former chief executive who is yet to come to terms with life after power."
However, the graveyard silence of new Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who currently makes do with his Deputy Governor official car, has sustained Kwankwaso's mischief.
